Old Town Community Church — Local services in San Diego

Went there, couple months ago, it was a basic food distribution place, nothing special about it, no different than the Salvation Army or other food banks in other places. What really surprised me is that you see nothing but Filipinos!.. why is that???... Is this a Filipino Church???... I mean it's in the heart of Classic Western themes, culture and heritage, such as Old Town, which is American, Mexican and Native American culture. All of the people giving out the food were all Pingoys!

Why is that??... Where is the diversity???

I didn't see any White, no Black,no Hispanics, no Middle Eastern, no Asian people, except for the 100 % Filipino presence.

It seemed strange. I guess I would like to see more diversity.

2025 update, Came back again recently, and the Filipinos take all the best food for themselves!...

As soon as you see 1 or more Filipinos, you know that they are taking all of the good stuff, all the best meat and cheese and fruits and vegetables. I have seen how they park separately and away from public eyes, and earlier that most and they get food carts full of the best food, and when Black, Hispanics and Whites compe over to get food, all of the best food is gone because they take it!...

Please make it a more diverse atmosphere, not just Filipino, it's Old Town, it's mainly Spanish, Mexican, Anglo and Native American place and Historical park. Why are there so many Filipinos involved!..
