Suriya saved my (really awful) short “pixie” haircut I had from another salon downtown a few months ago. I researched carefully to find a trained and talented hairstylist to reshape an extremely short pixie cut gone wrong, hacked like a boy’s cut, and I found Suriya. Amazingly, he picked up the phone when I called and saw me as an “emergency” that very evening, past the regular salon opening hours. I thought I would just show him what’s happened, and wait a few weeks for the hair to grow out before I can come back in for a fix, but he fixed it on the spot - not just “repairing” the cut, but gave me a wonderfully stylish pixie cut that didn’t look boyish even though it was shorter than the previous awful hack job! Since then, my husband and I have been going to Suriya every few weeks. He is not only talented, but is personable, easy to talk with, super friendly and not intimidating at all! This is the best place I have had my hair done to date. (I'm 50) Suriya is so talented at what he does. He has cut my hair (x3) colored and straightened it. I just love it. He takes his time and I leave with the best looking hair. And.. it continues to look great until my next cut! This is an entirely new experience for me. He has aslo worked miracles on my husband's hair. The Best cuts he has ever had.. period. The service is great and the salon is so nice and comfortable. He stocks the products I happened to have been using prior to visiting him. Loreal, Moraccon oil and a couple of others, all at a good price. I drive happily to Old Towne even though I live in north San Diego county. He is so worth it. He has great flexability for appointments, working sometimes as late as 11pm to accommodate his clients! I have a crazy schedule and can't always be there Tues-Sat days like most salons. I can't say enough good things. I completely recommend his salon....

Pampering myself always seems like the last priority on my agenda, never mind a routine hair cut. It was long over due, I researched local salons in Old Town and Suriya came to the top of the list, however it was past closing time . . . so maybe next time. I walked through Old town then decided to hit up Harney Sushi for dinner. A few stores past Harney Sushi I saw the lights were still on at Suriya, so I wondered over to see if he had time for a late walk in. Suriya met me with a smile, a warm welcome and a glass of wine. I had a tranquil experience with light conversation, a great shampoo/massage and then I felt like a ten walking out of the salon.
