"It is a mortal sin to vote Democrat...immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell." From filer inserted in October 16 billion of Immaculate conception catholic church. Article from today's San Diego Union Tribune. Can the Catholic church tell me and all Christians who believe... Which of God's Holy Scripture this is from? I've read the Bible three times and not read this in the Bible, much less mention the word Democratic. I was told in less than three days, when I was trying to understand why I was being verbally abused andattacked by two Eucharistic ministers, and a long lost family member, about a very serious and personal family matter. I then called a local Catholic church, and spoke to the so called, "lead priest" who had just returned from the Vatican from a ceremony in regards to mother Teresa. The priest also verbally abused and attacked me in the same manner, only more so. Holding back tears, I quoted every Scripture for his rationale he was giving me, as the awful thing I was doing against my loved one and against the Catholic church. But where did God come in I thought to myself. They all were worried about the "Catholic beliefs " So I asked each one, "were in God's Word, is this written?" Three said, "not everything is written in the Bible." It's just what we believe. The angry priest was insulted by my question, and said, "are you wanting Bible lessons or do you want to listen to me!" At that point I knew he as myself as a former Catholic, was not raised to read the Bible. I let him know I truly wanted to know if the answer I was seeking was truly Biblical. Because I've never read in the Bible and I knew there was different bible's for different faiths. He than said in a very condescending voice, "listen lady, you're doing wrong, and not everything is in the Bible." "It's our Catholic beliefs that tell us that it is wrong what you are doing!" You see my dear mother had passed away after years of severe pain. She was a Christian, however my daughter insisted that she have a Catholic service. Mother had a major bilateral stroke. Leaving her without the ability to swallow. My greatest concern was that she would be thirsty. I cried for days. I had them place her on IV fluids. Now I'm a retired nurse. I knew every 72 hrs that IV would need to be changed and as needed. Mother would be suffering more just to try and find a "Good vien". So I stopped had it stopped. Having worked as a hospice nurse, I knew patients at the end of life do not feel the hunger or thirst. But I wasn't thinking as a nurse, I was thinking as a daughter. So here before any of these people knew my mother's condition. I was a murderer, withholding food, water, and meds. And that, "Catholics are never withheld any of these tbings." Yet they are withheld communion if they have Dementia, because you must know what you are doing. Then I'm told off because my mother's ashes may be scattered in the ocean, her favorite place. Or in Texas over along side of her parents and family gravesite. Then I receive a call from a cousin I've not heard from in 55 yrs. Telling me it's against the law to do what I plan to do. I asked what law? The Texas law? She said, "The Catholic law " wow! I never thought things were so complicated with the Catholic church. They are so sterile that they might just sanitize themselves from the world. I can go on with my experiences when I was a Roman Catholic... But I won't. I just remember becoming a Christian. I said to the wonderful lady who led me to Christ Jesus. "Is that it?" "Because to become a Catholic, it's a long process I'd you're born into the religion, or if you want to become...
Read moreAs a professional photographer for over 12 years doing event photography I was booked to do a communion at this church, before agreeing I asked the client to check if they allow photographers as many churches do not for this event. The client was told it was ok. When I arrived I checked in with the ladies running the church and asked if there was any rules or places to avoid. The only spot was the alter area which is typical. The ladies introduced me to their photographer for the event and I let her know I would stay out of her way out of respect. From almost the start the other photographer would go out of her way to tell me I couldn't stand in places, grabbing my arm and pulling me etc. Over a 45 minute period I went to the other side of church twice both time using the side walkways and walking all the way to the back of the church to cross over not getting in anyone's way. During the second time the other photographer again grabbed my arm and I told her bluntly to stop touching me. She told me I was causing a disturbance by crossing the church and wanted me to leave. One of the ladies who gave me the rules was next to her and I asked to talk to her off to the side. She obviously took the others side and asked me for proof I was allowed to shoot the event despite having no problem 30 minutes before.. I was told I had to sit with the client and shoot from there. I have never been so disrespected on a shoot, I will not be along...
