As a guest at a recent wedding I had the displeasure of riding one of their coaches and having to deal with some problem areas.
The driver that came to pick us up to attend the wedding was 45 minutes late doing so. He stated that he was picking up ice. There was no ice and no drinks served on the bus.
When he finally did show up he parked outside of the property and chose not to come announce he was there to pick us up. I recently had surgery on both legs and had to hobble over to the bus and hope it was the proper one. Of note: the shuttle that dropped us off after the wedding was able to get in and out of the driveway of the property just fine.
After the wedding a small group of us boarded the bus shortly after 10pm. As I was boarding, I overheard the driver of the other shuttle (there were two) call over to our driver using his Nextel walkie-talkie feature. We will call my driver #1 and the other driver #2. Driver 2 asked driver 1 how many people were on his bus. Driver one replied there were 15 people. Driver 2 told driver 1 to go ahead and take off. After driving for approximately 20 minutes (from Escondido on the way back to PB) driver 1 got a call from driver 2 telling him that bus #2 was full and there were still guests standing outside and that driver #1 would need to turn-around and come back. So our whole bus turned around and went back to pick up 3 people.
After having ridden on one of their shuttles and seen how their drivers operate, I would definitely not recommend this service to anyone. I was personally upset because the drive home took over twice as long as it should have and I already wasn't feeling well due to my recent surgery. Our driver was put in an awkward position and that is unfortunate, but my feeling is that driver #2 put him in that position and that the company should be responsible for the result, regardless of their intent.
Again - everything I'm stating here is based on my personal experience and conversations I heard because they were had within 1-2 feet of me via speakerphone. I regularly organize bus trips to concerts and other events and I can assure you this company will never receive a dime of my business based on my...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of riding with Sundance Stage Lines for a recent wedding to and from the ceremony/reception. Bus was late; dispatch lied to me and said the driver stopped to get ice (no coolers or refreshments anywhere to be found); driver didn't notify us of his arrival and parked on the street out of line of sight of the waiting party. After the event, one of the 2 busses left at less than 1/4 capacity; turned around halfway back to our drop off point to return to reception area due to lack of space on the 2nd bus; people offered to take cabs home so the delay wouldn't affect the newly married couple but the driver refused to leave until the bus made it back (I was on that first bus--increased the return time more than double).
The classy company even had my review on another well-known review site (starts with a Y) removed. My guess is they paid for the removal, as Y's reasoning was absolutely false.
Avoid this dishonest company...
Read moreI gave Sundance Stage Lines one star because the service and management of our family's contract with them for a wedding was terrible. They did not follow through to the agreed upon service contract, leaving dozens and dozens of wedding guests in the lurch and causing the bride and groom major stress and frustration. Additionally, the management was completely unwilling to make any concessions or even simply apologize for the poor service. Save yourself the hassle and go with a different transportation company that is reliable and...
