Haven’t had a Chipotle burrito in a long time. Decided to stop by for a late dinner before a local concert. The ingredients were fresh and limited-time chicken pastor was tasty. But overall I feel like Chipotle burritos kind of lack flavor and are sorta bland. Though the ingredients seem good, this can’t exactly be categorized as Mexican food. It’s just…very average.
The staff were friendly, service was good, and the place was pretty clean. No real complaints or issues on the service/atmosphere side. I think I just found out I’m not that big of a Chipotle fan in general.
Update: Came back tonight—first visit to Chipotle in months. Their outside dining area is pretty sad looking, it’s one meta table under and umbrella. I ordered a chicken burrito with black beans, white rice, fajitas, pic de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. The burrito was pretty good, though I still feel like Chipotle kind of misses the mark in terms of flavor. The meat just doesn’t taste like much for some reason. My friend had a steak bowl and enjoyed it after pouring the medium green salsa over it. Overall, still...
Read moreI love Chipotle. I love the flavors, I love the freshness. I always get the carnitas burrito. What I don't love is how they roll the burrito. And I'm not alone. I have talked to other people that just stopped ordering burritos for this reason. They get a bowl with tortillas on the side and roll it themselves. Every time, at every Chipotle I've ever been to they roll it the same way and it is the worst burrito roll I've ever seen. Not only do they roll it with the ends on the outside, instead of on the inside so it stays together, all of the ingredients seem to separate. So, instead of tasting all of the flavors and ingredients in every bite, I get a mouthful of guacamole, then a bite of beans, a couple of bites of carnitas, then the rice. I have to ask to roll it myself. Then I get weird looks. If someone could teach them the proper way to roll a burrito, it would greatly improve...
Read moreI had a HORRIFYING experience today at this Chipotle. I ordered my food 15 minutes ahead of time because I was on my dinner break at work. After I waited patiently for 10 minutes in the restaurant, I was informed that they needed me to wait an extra 10 MINUTES. The staff told me the reason why was because "Somebody placed a really big online order". This is absolutely unacceptable!! I left the restaurant hungry and really angry because I had to go back to work hungry. It doesn't end there. When I called to get my refund, they took 30 minutes to process my refund and even had the nerve to offer me a free entree instead of a refund. Obviously, they didn't offer me any free food to make things right. I guarantee you, after this horrid customer service, I vow to NEVER go back to ANY Chipotle again for the "rest...
