I have been a member of YogaBox since it opened a few years ago. Many in our class followed our favorite teachers over from a studio which was becoming too corporate and generic. The teachers at all the locations are very good and offer a range of technical /exertion levels to suit every student. It is a heated studio, which is something to get used to at first, but is very effective in warming the muscles early in the class session so that a deep stretch is achievable. My primary instructor for the past ten years has been Andre. He has a 30+ yr background in fitness and understands how to work us hard without injury. His class can be challenging for a beginner because we move a lot and there is a cardio element but it can be done with some determination after about 10 beginner classes are taken. Andre creates fun and creative flows and keeps my core and shoulders in tip top shape. He also is a very genuine, loving person and adds a good deal of comedy to the atmosphere. The staff and fellow students at YogaBox are so welcoming. I look forward to catching up with my friends before and...
Read moreI would undoubtedly give five stars for all the instructors and all of their sculpt classes/yoga flows. They are all wonderful. My complaint is just that almost all the classes are heated and it's just too hot a lot of the time. Hard to do a fast-paced workout when you're slippery wet from all the sweat and/or light headed often. And then you gota tip-toe through all the pools of sweat around the room to put your things away after class. I know some people really like heated classes, so if that's your jam, then I would certainly recommend! I continue to go here and am grateful for this studio because the location is very convenient for me to walk to and I consistently get a great workout, despite the heat. I also really appreciate their use of an app to sign up for classes and such - you will get charged $10 if you sign up for a class and then cancel within 8 hours of the start time, or if you don't show up. Could be annoying for last-minute schedule changes, but I think this feature is kinda great for keeping me...
Read moreThis is an awesome studio. Be ready for hot yoga, but I would say there is a nice variety of levels, and the instructors provide variations. I feel challenged, but not pressed to do something outside of my abilities.
Chirstina's power yoga class is the best yoga class I’ve ever taken. Christina is able to create a physically challenging class without losing the spiritual core of yoga. I always feel proud of what I did and revitalized after this class. I would say this class is more challenging for strength/balance vs cardio. I’ve noticed the flow has some qualities of dance if you want to go there w your expression. Music is indie chill. If you’re looking for a power class that prioritizes mind/body connection I def recommend.
Sculpt classes are challenging. Dania has a great energy and her playlist is super good for high energy workouts - hip hop...
