I just sold some Costa Rican Colons and Hong Kong Dollars at this conveniently located forex kiosk right at the heart of downtown San Francisco. While the location is excellent due to its close proximity to a Bart subway station, the service clerkās attitude is almost close to rudeness. A thirty-something young man was sitting by the corner of this kiosk next to an open window busying himself with something while I gingerly surveyed the kiosk to see if thereās any written sign of business hours. Since there was no indication of a temporary break time, I gently asked him if he was open for business, he snapped that if he wasnāt there for business, why would he sit there in the first place? I replied that I didnāt want to bother him while he was busy. Then he asked me what I wanted, which I responded by asking if he would buy currencies from Costa Rica and Hong Kong; he said yes and went to punch some numbers on his computer and returned with a quote from his portable calculator. I agreed and then he went to get the cash and completed the forex transactions with a five-dollar fee deduction without a hitch. I thanked him before leaving the premises while he thanked me in return.
Overall, the brief exchange with this person wasnāt pleasant because I felt as if I was bothering him the whole time. The forex rate differential is somewhere around 10-15% of the market rate, which is expected to be because I was paying for convenience, but the entire interpersonal exchange left a negative...

I came to exchange euros to dollars and asked about their āBest Rate Guaranteeā advertised on their website. The staff member first acted like he didnāt know what I was talking about until I showed him the page. He then accepted to offer me a better rate, which I agreed to.
After handing over my money, we waited nearly 10 minutes with no explanation. When I politely asked what we were waiting for, he snapped that he was waiting for āapprovalā and that it could take āminutes, hours, or days.ā It was a rude and unnecessary response to a simple question.
When I calmly pointed out that his attitude wasnāt very customer-friendly, he abruptly canceled the exchange and gave my money back without any explanation. His reaction was aggressive and completely uncalled for.
We were shocked ā I was ready to do business and simply asked a normal question. This experience was extremely disappointing. If you care about good service, Iād recommend going elsewhere. This employee is not suited for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Currency Exchange International on account that I was given a ā¬10 Euro (ten euro) and needed to cash it in. I went there by going through the side entrance to Westfield Mall which is next to the Razor gaming lab, transaction costed me $3.00 as the minimum exchange rate as there is a $3.00 minimum exchange fee when you do $199 or less. I ended up getting $7.25 back, the transaction went quick, there was only 1 person infront of me and one person behind so overall was smooth, no extra paper work or accounts to create. Overall gave a 4 star because they do not offer any crypto exchange options which I felt in this day and age should...
