Enterprise Rent-A-Car — Local services in San Francisco

Just wanted to give these guys a shoutout! This rental center is perfect for tourists staying in SF who want to head out of the city for a day. We rented a car from here to head out to Napa Valley and the Muir Woods from San Francisco. It cost about $53 for the full day (denied their insurance). This was MUCH cheaper than other rental car locations in the city center (we got quotes from some rental companies in downtown area that were more like $80-100 and not even for the full day). This site also lets you drop the car off at all hours, unlike the city center rental companies that need to have you return by 6 pm. What really stood out though was the customer service. Daniel walked us out to our car, helped us figure out how to turn it on (we weren’t used to the “push” start option). After dropping the car off we were worried because we couldn’t find an eyeglass case. Called Daniel the next day and he found it in the car and kept it at the front desk for us. I rent from Enterprise exclusively for business/personal reasons because I value their service and help with minor annoyances when renting a car. Unfortunately, this location did not meet my expectations. I rent a car 30 times a year and I simply asked if they could help out with the "one-way rental surcharge". It just seems ridiculous that I would be charged $100 on top of the daily rental charges to rent at one location and drop off at another. The branch manager wouldn't bend the rules. What really frustrated me as when I dropped the car off at the airport, they were more than happy to take the charge off my bill but where unable to because I rented it at a different location. It's the little things that go a long way in customer service and this is one of those situations that could have helped build more brand loyalty in a hyper-competitive market for repeat and...

I can't speak for other Enterprise locations but this location is simply the best. Before finding this place, I used Hertz exclusively because of the corporate discounts. However, we decided to give this place a chance due to its close proximity. Since then, we've never rented from another company or location. Their manager, Raymond, is the nicest and most professional manager I've ever dealt with at a rental car agency. When he's not there, his staff members, like Terrance, are equally amazing!

While other rental agencies like Thrifty and Dollar may be cheaper, the level of service and the security of knowing that they will take care of you significantly outweighs saving a few dollars (i.e. if you are a regular, they even remember when you bring the car back with more gas than when you started for the next time you rent a car!)

Hope the staff doesn't change...
