There's a reason behind "the reason" most people work out. Whether someone's looking to get or stay in top shape, find their anchor and moment of peace during a hectic day, or get a sweat on in a group class, everyone's ultimate reason boils down to one simple thing: that one-of-a-kind total body and mind sync right after a workout that hits your soul and elevates you into rare air. What puts Lux in a class of its own is its fundamental understanding and link with the spiritual core that everyone's fitness journey is wrapped around. Fitness is more than movement. It's about you, the community you meet along the way, and the journey your mind and soul go on every time you pick up a weight, hit the bike, or lock into a gnarly Vinyasa flow. I've worked out in every sort of gym imaginable, and Lux is the only one that taps into the soul of why human beings seek exercise and movement. They just get it. The energy, the coaches (they're all incredible), the man behind the movement (Yotam is an extraordinary founder and connects deeply and sincerely with every Lux member), the equipment and vibe...trust me. Get in one workout at Lux, and you'll see what I mean. There's a reason this gym is incredibly popular and continues to grow (even in the hyper-competitive SF fitness scene). I'm thankful for the space Lux provides. Highly...
Read moreI feel successful!!! I was concerned about working out in an outdoor gym, especially in my neighborhood where i know so many people. But once i started working out, I forgot all about that. And having a trainer (Simon) working with me and makes the "outside world" even less of a distraction and he keeps me focused on what i am doing. Though there aren't any machines to work out with, i'm really learning how to work my muscles and a lot of the stabilizer muscles that you may not use so much on a machine. Barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells have become some of my newest best friends. I get a really good work out!! Yes, if it rains, you get a bit wet and yes, if it's hot out, you sweat a lot more, but when i've quit my whining and focused on my workouts, the elements were much less of an issue than I was making them out to be. And there are tents for when it does rain! What i really like about this gym is the sense of community it has. All the trainers clients tend to interact a lot more than you might have at other gyms. We are all in this together and i know that the success that LuxFit is having is a result of the commitment to the members' success. I'm grateful to Yotam, Simon and all of the trainers for this amazing and...
Read moreI came across Angela Lou's HIIT class one Sunday morning during a walk through my neighborhood, and I immediately knew I had to join. After being in a serious rut after quarantine (and gaining 15lbs!). I decided this was the sign I've been waiting for. Angela was supportive and responsive from day one. She was gentle as I introduced my body to working out again. Her HIIT class in INSANE. But don't let it intimidate you. She works at your level while pushing you gently. Now after a couple months of taking her class regularly, I'm down 7lbs. But more importantly, I feel so much stronger. I can lift heavier and I feel so much more confident in my body. Thanks Angela for pushing me and supporting me. The Luxfit community is really unique. The environment is motivational and supportive while also feeling safe (masks are required and everything is sanitized prior and after use). More so, the people are so friendly which is unusual for a boutique gym experience. No judgment, no cliques, everyone is just working on their own journey. I'd also like to add that the diversity here is real. I love seeing trainers from different cultural backgrounds with various skills sets.
Thanks Yotam for building...
