I had the pleasure of coming here to see a few authors speak with the most recent being Malcolm Gladwell. I’m tempted to tell you about how amazing it was to listen to Mr Gladwell but I suspect everyone already knows that. Instead, I’ll mention that this old theatre is absolutely iconic and the type of building reflective in everything great about San Francisco. Yes it’s old and not as beautiful as the Fox in Oakland but it’s still an amazing place that must be preserved and enjoyed. I’ll definitely be back. Michael Delehanty Compass Real Estate

I loved the venue. Twoset Violin was amazing! The idiot woman in front of me was leaning forward in her seat the whole time, which blocked my view. If you're in theater seating, you have to sit properly in your seat to not block the people behind you. Theater seating is designed that way.

First, this is a gorgeous old theater and I do appreciate that places like this still exist.

We had the misfortune of being in the balcony when seeing Sir Pareick Stewart. The seats are old school. AKA atrocious, small, cramped and solid wood/metal. As such, anyone talking about comfy seats must've been down on the floor. So, yeah, unless you're tiny, and have buns of steel, avoid the balcony like the plague.

Am surpsied how many people were praising the audio system as it flat out sucked. Even my wife and son, both of whom can hear far better than me, struggled. While they largely manged, I couldn't understand a damn thing, so really ruined my night. Not sure of they had Batman running the audio controls that night, but whomever it was should've been fired.

Oh, and the large gender neutral bathroom was certainly a new experience. Didn't bother me, but if you're the type that it would bother, consider...

This is a small theater which books some interesting events. I recently attended a lecture here by Sir Patrick Stewart on his new memoir. This was my second event here this year. Both times the theater had major problems accommodating my ADA seating. Even after arranging everything at the time of my ticket purchase, both times I arrived and no one knew anything about accommodations.

This theater is part of an old elementary school and it feels like it. If you are over six feet tall be prepared to spend your whole time with your knees pressed into the seat-back in front of you. The staff, while helpful when confronted with an issue, is not proactive at all. I consider this the worst theater in San Francisco...

Got to see the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus here for their Ring in the Holigays show, and it was a joy. The theater is large enough to accommodate a decent sized audience whole still feeling intimate, and the location is easy to reach by public transit. There are parking lots close by if you're coming in a big enough group to make it worthwhile, and there are a lot of options nearby for a meal before a show.

As for @SFGMC they are amazing and well worth seeing. Family consensus is this will be the new holiday tradition to replace seeing...
