The Mission was not on our sightseeing list for San Francisco. We had some extra time though and it was close, so we popped in to check out the cemetery.
I wasn’t prepared for the wealth of history I would be presented with. I needed days worth of time to really take everything in but only had about 20 minutes.
The 2 men working the shop that day were true gems. Not only did they relay the history and tells us colorful stories, they recommended a nearby bakery which as as phenomenal as they said. I could have spent the whole afternoon talking with them.
The basilica was breathtaking. The cemetery was well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The displays and artifacts throughout were amazing.
