Eureka Valley libary branch is a wonderful place. You can casually browse the stacks for a book to enjoy. You can catch up world news with daily newspapers--you can even enjoy a paper by the fireplace. This branch has access to the entire San Francisco library collection. Just visit the website, search for the book you want, ask the it be delivered to this branch, then pick it up at this branch in a couple of days.

Named after the legend himself, Harvey Milk, this branch of san francisco public library is an exquisite place. Very quiet and a great collection of books for you to go through. The service is amazing too and you will love the vibes here. I love it here

Suppose to be a queer friendly location for all lgbtqi individuals not just privileged light skinned residents. Security Officers singled me out while I was watching a movie project “get out” for my MA degree application. Officers #21 and #20 insisted to speak with me outside. But once outside they refused to let me back into the library, apparently because I had allegedly looked at Officer #21. He started to falsely accuse me, denying me my official high functioning but an impairing developmental disorder. He intentionally kept saying aggravated offensive and hurtful things. Then threatening to arrest me, because I didn’t admit to his false accusations of “acting like those weird people”. Like All high and all. Then he started screaming that I was dirty to set a reaction off. He kept repeating this. Mind you that he did not harass other library patrons with also maybe considered from different (light skinned) appearances and socioeconomic backgrounds. He refused not only to give his name, but to share his superior’s name and contact claiming he was the one in charge. There is no accountability for his abusive and aggressive actions and he has free game to discriminate whomever he wants and to favor others. Threaten with unwarranted arrests because they might have looked in his direction. Officer #21’s misconduct and discrimination make this library location inaccessible for those whom might to be able access this supposed intended diverse library. Why do you actually racist and discriminating nameless security officers policing this location again. In 2005, this has been officially addressed the security was even replaced to stop their abusive practices to allow it to be welcome and safe for everyone. Having other abusive officers without accountability or a place to address this safety comes across as an intentional choice to exclude certain individuals based on their appearance, assumed drug use, disabilities, race, class and...

I don’t know how to say this politely, but in every library I go to, the staff talk among themselves. They speak too loudly with the visitors and have long conversations. We go to these places because we want people to be quiet, not to a café. I go there to concentrate. However, I continuously encounter staff who chat and talk all day long. This has happened again right now in this library. Please either warn them during the hiring process or give them a warning now. If these people want to talk, I am available not to talk; I want to work here. I am applying here as someone who can work all day without talking. Please fix this or hire me....

I love the fact that an icon and hero of the LGBTQ Community has a great library named after him.

The book selection surprised me. Normally a small branch library have a small selection, not in this case.

They have DVDs, blueray, all types of documentaries, foreign, etc for free. Why buy or rent when you can borrow.

The restrooms are very clean. Staff are friendly, knowledgable, and quick to help. Stop in and chat about your favorite movie, book, or everyday events.

Plenty of parking and self checkouts. Come make copies, use a computer, read, or do like I do, catch up on past letters.

Come in and sit...
