ReVamp has relocated to a beautiful spot on Market in the Castro.
Huy has an amazing staff, and a beautiful space. I've been going to ReVamp for years now. I trolled Yelp! looking for a good salon nearby, and ReVamp was one that came highly recommended. I am so glad, because since then they've been my salon. They offer professional stylists without attitude or pretension. What I like is that in building their team, they patiently wait for the right fit. It isn't that anyone who can style well works at ReVamp, of course you've got to be an amazing stylist, but you also have to be a part of a team.
Huy and Rebecca cut my hair, and I trust both entirely. I am frequently asked where I get my hair cut, this is not my aim in getting my haircut, but it helps to give you an idea of the styling at ReVamp. I've never been disappointed. I have had both long and short-bob length hair since I've been going to ReVamp, so I can attest to their styling for both.
ReVamp is a GREAT place place to get your hair done, with FANTASTIC stylists. And while it is an amazing one-of-a-kind gem of a salon, it doesn't come with all of the stuffy pretension that some salons of this quality do.
Rebecca styled my hair for my wedding day, and it was everything I could have hoped for. If you are looking for someone to style your hair for your special day, Huy recommended Rebecca, and now I do too!
Pro-tip look for parking on Sanchez, Belcher, or Churchill...

Review: I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but I feel really shaken by how I was treated at Revamped Salon. I came in with a clear request: soft, natural highlights in a cool tone. What I got was harsh, uneven, brassy orange-red streaks that clashed completely with my skin tone — the opposite of what I asked for.
When I returned to have it corrected, Chloe admitted it needed fixing. But the “correction” barely changed anything, and my hair was left even more fried. The color is still visibly orange, and now my hair feels brittle and damaged.
What made it worse was how I was treated during the fix. The owner came over while I was sitting in the chair and started pressuring me to admit the color looked fine — even though it clearly didn’t. He insisted it wasn’t orange and tried to gaslight me into accepting it. It was humiliating. When my husband came to support me and politely requested a refund, the owner was rude and dismissive to him too.
I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card company because I paid for a service that was not delivered as promised. I also found out someone else had almost the exact same experience — which tells me this isn’t a one-off, it’s a pattern.
I would never return to this salon and would warn others to think twice before trusting them with something as personal and important...
Read moreUpdate: after an atrocious job, the salon tried to call and solve the situation, but insisted on charging for the service due to “time spent”, despite the quality being extremely low and failing to meet the standard required at that price range. No accountability and poor service. They will destroy your hair and not take accountability. Avoid!
My wife paid $450 at Revamped Salon for a color treatment, and the result is honestly shocking. The stylist, Chloe, completely ignored what she asked for and gave her a brassy, uneven mess. The highlights are patchy, poorly blended, and have this weird orange tone—nothing close to the professional, polished look she expected.
It looks like something you’d get from a student salon, not a place charging top-tier prices. She’s devastated and now has to spend even more money to fix it somewhere else.
It’s pretty clear the focus was upselling, not quality. For $450, this is unacceptable. I’m posting photos so people can see just how bad the result was.
