North Beach Barbershop — Local services in San Francisco

Best barbershop in North Beach by far, and best one I've found in the city. I've been using my family barber forever, and occasionally I've tried a new person here and there. At my old barber, I'd leave feeling just "ok" and knew it would grow out to what I wanted after a week. But this place was the complete opposite, I left with the perfect haircut, I've never been happier leaving a barbershop. Nikki not only listened to everything I wanted to do, but actually understood. And when Nikki didn't understand, I'd be asked clarifying questions until there was no room for error to make sure we were on the same page. Nikki would then offer opinions on what would work best and how things would look if I had questions or was being indecisive.

On top of that, Nikki was great conversation, took extra care when cleaning up the random hairs around my ears and neck, and lined me up perfectly.

I'll be back here for every haircut from here on out. Give it a try, it's well...

I couldn’t be more happy that North Beach Barbershop is now open. Nikki, the owner and lead barber, has been my barber for years. Her ability to fade is unmatched here in San Francisco, and she really focuses on the details. She also has good conversation, and looks for feedback along the way, which makes me feel comfortable when cutting my hair.

Haircuts are well priced at North Beach Barbershop, and the atmosphere is fun and lively. There’s music and sports playing, and you can treat yourself to a beverage while getting a cut. They’re located right off Columbus in North Beach, so there are plenty of parks, bars and restaurants in the area to enjoy before or after your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome but I recommend scheduling an appointment before hand.

My experience from walking-in to leaving checked off all the boxes for me. I’ve never been one who really understood what to do, look for, or want when I thought about my hair. When I first came through, I was immediately welcomed by one of their barbers Thomas. The whole time Thomas spent the time to engage & learn about me to better decide what might work best for my hair for my lifestyle. During the cutting process, he explained what he was doing, what his vision was for my hair, & confirmed whether I was comfortable with his vision. The cut was exceptional & the experience was even better. I definitely would recommend this spot to anyone...
