Update: 9/2023 There were so many employees around that couldn't be bothered to clean the dog washing station. Their version of clean is picking up hair from one small spot from the tub while wet hair was literally all over the tub, wall, and floor. The person cleaning was upset that i even asked. Since today was "busy" they suddenly told me they're only allowed to give 1 towel per dog even though I brought two dogs. The gentlemen I spoke with was just repeating what was told to him and honestly replied that there were no clean towels because no one was washed them. He and one other person who brought the towel (not the person who rung me up) were the only ones at that station that showed any professionalism and courtesy. Needless to say, it took forever to dry my dogs with just 1 towel. I wanted to come back because of my previous review, but I just can't bring my dogs here for a proper wash.
2019 Took my dog there for the self wash station - really incredible and clean set up. The water pressure is a bit too strong - the staff were receptive to my feedback of possibly switching to a variety setting nozzle for better control.
Bottom floor is the grooming service and washing station. Upstairs is just a massive selection of food, treats, health products, birds/fish/reptiles/critters, and a cat adoption section.
Overall this place will have what you'll need and more. The facility is incredibly clean and the staff are polite and professional. I want to give a particular shout out to Camryn. He is extremely professional, has a strong welcoming personality, and is genuinely a great person. By the time I got in the checkout line my dog had made a mess and he immediately came over to help and reassured us that it wasn't a problem. Even overhearing how he communicates with his teammates over stock/inventory was impressive. If the management is reading this, you need more people like Camryn, and you need to set up him up on a path...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2 weeks ago I called to book my dog Mercedes an appointment and showed up later on that day around 4 or 5:00 PM and I was expecting the service to take longer than it did but they called me in less than two hours and I picked Mercedes up and she smelled she good at first but the next day she was back smelling like she was playing outside all day. When I realize that she was back smelling like she's never been groomed. I called the store immediately and was put on hold for about 30 minutes. I called back I spoke to someone who was really nice and he actually works upstairs in the other part of the store where they sell the items. So I asked him if he could transfer me and he was very polite and he did it, and no one ever came to the phone. I waited on hold I was hung up on I called back and I still have no resolution. Also I know they did not groom my dog they did not clip her toenails. They did not do anything but spray some dog cologne charge me $74 and sent me on my way, if you really want your dog groomed go somewhere else I left a tip and everything and for them just to not even contact me is pretty unprofessional in my opinion. At this point I'm really ready to dispute the charge with JP Morgan, Chase because I really feel played out, I always was told Petsmart was better than Petco but that's not true. I'd rather take my dog to Petco any day of the week than to return to that Petsmart location on Geary. Petsmart definitely has a nicer location but haven't you ever heard the expression "All that glitters ain't gold"? It's nothing golden, glitzy, or glamorous about Petsmart on Geary. Just a bunch of bodies in the building to collect a paycheck. They do not give 2 fs about animals. I will never frequent that location again. And I just decided to dispute the charge with my bank. They got me and my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJustin, if you don't enjoy your job and the customers who pay money at the store where you work, please find another job. Don't take someone else's place! Plenty of people in San Francisco would be happy to take your spot.
For the store manager: Justin ignored me at the checkout today. Asian customers formed a queue on the right side instead of the usual left. I stood behind them to avoid having two separate lines at the same cash register. There was a couple of Asian customers in front of me, and Justin clearly saw that I was standing behind them with a large quantity of Royal Canin cat food (I didn't grab a basket, so I was just holding 20 packs in my arms). Additionally, I am tall, so I was clearly visible behind the customers in front of me. At that moment, an American couple approached and stood on the left side of the same checkout where I was. When the customers in front of me were done, Justin simply turned and went to serve the American couple at another checkout. The couple informed him that I was waiting in line ahead of them and asked him to assist me. He did not react at all. I stated that I was indeed the next in line and proceeded to the next checkout. However, it would have been more appropriate for him to come to the checkout where I had waited in line. Justin did not ask for my phone number, did not inquire if I needed a receipt (he just printed it out), and did not ask if I needed a bag. He simply scanned all the cat food packs and left them scattered on the counter for me. I collected everything in my handbag, took the receipt, and left. What is this? Unprofessionalism? Racism?
By the way, another guy, I do not remember his name, it was like 2 months ago, was very polite and tried to help me with my issue. I guess it`s your supervisor or manager, because I have never seen him at...
