Ordered a large selection of food for our extended family. All of us live in San Francisco and expect excellent Mediterranean food because of the number of choices in SF. Without a doubt, House of Hummus EXCEEDED our high expectations for delicious, fresh, perfectly prepared food. We sampled many dishes by ordering platters, falafels, wraps, fries, salads and more. Our entire family agreed the hummus itself was exceptional and worth going to the restaurant just to stock up on mouthwatering fresh, creamy hummus at a lower price than anything in a grocery store. While we ordered via Grub Hub, 4 members of our family went to the restaurant itself last weekend and said the kindness and passion of the owner and his daughter were like something from a time gone by. I really hope this amazing restaurant will get the attention and accolades they deserve. ...

House Of Hummus is an underappreciated gem! I've eaten here several times and thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've had. The food is fresh, flavorful, generously portioned, and usually quick. I highly recommend the chicken kabob platter. They're able to accommodate larger groups, usually because they are not as busy as they deserve to be-- my work group of 13 people has been able to come here at lunchtime and sit together without a reservation before. The space is more relaxed than many restaurants in San Francisco and has good parking availability on the street, in the few spaces directly in front of the building, and in the shopping complex across the street. I get the impression that it's owner-operated as a family business, and they're very welcoming. I hope they have enough customers to stay in business...

The House of Hummus was a pleasant surprise. If I could give 10 stars for the food and good hearted customer service, it would definitely be a valid decision. Today I ordered the Chicken Kabob platter and I was surprised by the amount of food served. The food presentation was magazine material and the food itself provided an astonishing amount of fresh ingredients with lots of flavoring. I tasted curry, olive oil, spices, fenugreek, garlic, cilantro, and cucumber. The platter had much more flavor and explosive flavors. I am happy to finally visit the House of Hummus. I hope you find time to...

Was just wandering after a trip to TJ’s and got excited when I saw a “shawarma” sign. When I heard the workers (maybe a family?) chatting in Arabic inside, I had a feeling stepping in was a good move. The shawarma (I got both chicken and beef/lamb, in taco form) was easily some of the best I’ve had in SF - super juicy and flavorful. Sauces were plentiful and delicious. Talked a bit to the owner (Jordanian man) and apparently the place just opened a week ago! Definitely worth giving it a try and supporting a (really tasty) new family-owned business. Shukran!

12-17-21: Came here for lunch and ordered a chicken 🐔 shawarma and the falafel burger. Overall, was pleased with the chicken shawarma. The sandwich comes with a side salad or fries. Both are good options. The falafel burger was a bit disappointing and I just couldn't eat my share of the burger. The patty was soft and mushy. I'd prefer a crunchy patty. In addition, the bun was too thick and essentially white bread. Id prefer a different Bread such as a brioche bun or a ciabatta roll. Overall, can't give five ⭐ because of the falafel burger.
