The Animal House — Local services in San Francisco

Having just gotten a baby yorkiepoo who I am thoroughly obsessed with, I cannot be more grateful to Time Out for directing me to this haven. I am from NYC and have definitely been to my fair share of pet stores, but the 515$ of toys in my amazon cart pale in comparison to the selection and quality and cuteness of the gorgeous goodies I was able to get my pup. The guy working inside was so goofie and friendly and helpful and helped me find my pooch a sloth IN A donut, a rainbow furry unicorn, a platypus (arguably twice the size of Riley), and a beautiful little porcupine/ hedgehog. I would buy the ENTIRE store if u could. And I will. Even all the sports jerseys and adorable rain coats and exotic dried fish treats... omg! Where do they even find this?! No amount of google or Pinterest searches have brought me to anything CLOSE as epic as the products they carry. Keep doing what your doing!! Hope to move to Cali to bring little R back bi weekly to finish building his personal zoo / jungle. Ill never go to a different pet store if i can help it! The owner is so kind and personally has tried and recommends every single product they sell. My dog is a picky eater and she personally walked us around the store and explained each food, where its sourced, the nutritional value, and which one she recommends for him. When he didnt like it, she exchanged it for free. She is incredibly knowledgeable about senior dogs and has genuinely recommended products that changed his quality of life for the better. Hey now, definitely have to get a shout out to the Animal House! I thought I was going to have to put my dog down for having a heart condition and these helpful, super friendly people suggested I try the raw food diet for my dog. Needless to say, though my dog is still on heart medications, he definitely bounced back and has a puppy like spring in his step and is leaping up stairs again.
