Nicely mowed meadow across the street from the Conservatory of Flowers, the bathrooms, and near JFK with street parking. It is a nice place to put down a picnic blanket, with sunny and shady options. The meadow is large enough for multiple small groups to enjoy a day in the park, although once in a blue moon a really large group takes over it. There are a couple of benches on the path next to the meadow and picnic tables immediately north next to the meadow. I basically never see homeless here. There are oak woodlands on the other side of the path, and multiple times I have seen what I believe is a red shouldered hawk perched in a tree looking for prey in the meadow.
