last minute lady i was, desperately seeking immediate custom framing on a dime, i drove from michaels to blicks to aarons, to fastframe...NO LUCK! my picture panel was an odd size so it was difficult to find a frame i could get custom framed.

i went to cheap petes.

first check-in- since i didnt have the ends for custom framing, the miss suggested i buy a frame (fr their selection) and they would do the backing, etc etc. i didnt like their frames (w/in my price range), so i had doubts- but she still drew up a quote just in case i wanted the work done.

i found decent traditional frames at blicks art, so i decided to frame my pieces myself. FAIL. i needed professional mat cutters. i called cheap petes.

second check-in - dude steven was able to cut a mat for me (and also help me choose the right color! such a laborious task but he didnt complain (least not to my face). plus!

third check-in - i picked up the matting and asked for the fasteners to be added. dude said they couldnt do but eric (another worker offering everyone that walked in chocolate) said they could. so dude did!

to sum up: excellent customer service and i learned a few things on how to frame. im forever referring their services and taking my work to them from now on! its a minute and many miles since theyre in the richmond district, but regardless,...

Def agree with some other reviewers, this place is NOT AT ALL “cheap” at all for custom framing. But overall great customer service. I could have shopped around for a quote — prob better off using an online service like Framebridge! Will note for next time…

I am still waiting for the finish product but with the attention to detail on our design and for the price— I expect that it will be beautiful. :) But don’t expect anything to be “cheap” when it comes to custom framing! I can update this review later.

They sell frames that are ready to go and affordable - maybe that is where “cheap”...
