Gemileo — Local services in San Juan

Non locals stay away.

The saleswoman (with brown curly hair) sold me forged bottle of top shelf rum.

As soon as she realized I don’t speak Spanish she started suggesting various top shelf brands of “exceptional” rum using words like: “you will never have a headache from this and this”. Unfortunately I trust opinion of people in charge of such establishments and paid over 200 USD for 3 bottles of rum.

At home I opened the bottle shown in photos and found out it smells and tastes like a cheap potato vodka with tea....

Gemileo is a unique store you will smell before you see because of the amazing incense burning normally. She has the biggest variety of incense in Santurce. A lot of her stuff is touristy but at the same time it’s Puerto Rican cultural stuff. The clothes aren’t cheap but she has stuff you don’t see unless you go to viejo San Juan. Ray and his wife are very wonderful people. They offer some souvenirs , unique items and collectibles. In the back they have wine tasting and liqour as well. Both their friendliness makes me want to come back to visit them and have a drink with them since i didn't drink that day. If I visit P.R again I am forsure coming back to this place to have a...
