Took my husband here Sunday May 19th. He had the chills, fever, cough, muccus with blood. Check in at 12:01 pm and 2:30pm he was told 2 minutes, and 4:54pm we left only his blood pressure was checked twice! Almost 5 hours. Urgent care is available via appointments only in the east bay. (available walk-ins for urgent care in the Los Angeles area only) we tried that process but his symptoms are covid like so only available appointments for him a covid test at the lab. No help with that. San leandro serves patients from Hayward, and Union City for emergency services because those Kaiser campuses closed their emergency rooms. Both cities are heavily populated so it waiting game regardless. Kaiser needs to reflect on how to better serve its patients by having more available services IN THIS AREA. We pay every single paycheck for our health insurance, we should be able to been seen in a timely matter, get a note for work, so we don't loose our jobs that pay those premiums. It's frustrating and I don't blame Doctors or Nurses. Kaiser is setting up all parties for failure. You have impatient patients who are sick and sometimes irrational and you expect doctor's and nurses to take on a bigger workload, work efficiently, and keep patients comfortable. If a patient waiting several hours they can be more angry and difficult. It makes it uncomfortable for all parties. I hope Kaiser seeks relief for both patient's and health care workers. Close emergency room open one in place of it! Have more urgent care facilities that allow walk ins...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo diagnosis and no treatment plan. This is a 2star review idk how it got changed...I wanted 2nd opinion and couldn't catch my breath. First thing I heard from the doctor was... you don't have Kaiser. No but I do have Blue Shield and it's quite excellent insurance through the Union. It was suggested I seek treatment at a different hospital. I stayed. Ultimately i heard the same thing as Palo Alto VA...tests say theres nothing obviously wrong and i was released. Even tho i was still suffering with severe weight loss, weakness and difficulty breathing...i was discharged. Better luck somewhere else. Nice new hospital. Staff was nice. Very few people waiting Monday morning@ 730am. I hate feeling like the only diagnosis I'm going to get is after this kills me..the coroner will reveal what everybody else missed... I guess. I'm given four stars because at least they were upfront about it and honest and they still did a standard series of tests and x-rays an EKG. Sincerely,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely worst service in the ER. Took my girlfriend to the Kaiser ER in San Leandro and sheās been waiting almost 4 hours and has yet to be seen by a doctor. Sheās in significant pain and was given Motrin. There was no one in the waiting room when she was admitted to a room. I called the ER and whoever answered the phone couldnāt give me any answers as to why itās taking so long. All she could say was āweāre very busy. Thereās 60 patients here. The doctor has 5 patients.ā So simple math would mean thereās 12 ER doctors there. So if sheās been waiting 3 hours for one doctor that means it takes one doctor 15 hours to take care of 5 patients? I told her this. She said āI didnāt say thatā. No, but you told me you donāt know how many doctors are there. But you did tell me how many patients there are and how many each doctor has.
Since when is math no longer needed to work in a medical facility? I shouldāve read the...
