About 25+ yrs ago I bought 5per 3season tent. Almost every weekend would go camping. Was like second home. I spent the out rages price on it because of life time grantee. It's heald up over years but of course there going be wear tear n accidents. ABout 10yrs go was looking for new tent. Wanted buy same tent. They discontinued tent I bought b4 So looked for a 4season tent i do alot winter camping. Figured could use life time warranty bring old tent back for summer camping. Bout 6 months after spending 1,200 on new tent. Looked for tent just bought. They discontinued it n basically just changed colors of tent. Thought whats this do for warranty n would it change warranty on older tent. So I sent in a claim n made it clear id be willing pay bring back old tent just for sentimental value. They said nothing would be covered by warranty. Nothing about buying same style tent. Ok some of damage i can understand but being willing pay have repaired. Where the tent poles connect together cracked n broke. In reviews of tent i found they said this could happen. It was a design flaw. Even that was willing pay to fix. My advice is not to buy any north face if ur counting on the warranty fix product. It might last 20 30yrs but when comes time bring it back to what u remember it as. They tell u NO it's been discontinued. The idea that it'd be useful for a life time is BS. Just buy a cheap tent n a tarp lot...
Read moretook me time to finally decide to leave a comment, since I wanted to let go what happened during Back Friday. During the night that day after waiting for 4 hours to get to door the girl that was at the door that night was just giving a lot of attitude. She was really arrogant. If she was a regular team member I would of understand that she just did not had good customer service skills. But she was claiming to be a "manager". For a North face store I was really disappointed the way I was treated by that manager. Not only the people in front was getting same attitude but also people behind me. People and I were making simple questions in order to know if we would keep on waiting on line, but she kept on rising her voice and when some of the other customer in the same line started talking in Spanish she was really mad, even when they were not even talking about her or anything related to the hold on line. Was at that moment that she started saying that she was a manager even when no one had asked if she was. finally wen I was at the door she intentionally led more than 15 persons go out without letting a single person go in for other 15 minutes. I'm a really patience person but even after considering not leaving a bad review for that for a long time I wanted to share my experience. Read moreMy mom loves this store or at least she did, we would always buy a lot from north face it was always good customer service until she went to return a jacket that we had bought the day before because it had clearly been warned she got told that it couldn’t be returned because it was sample item maybe that explains why it looked so used it was not a cheap jacket but she is not an English speaker the lady who helped her said this what I get my self into for knowing Spanish since she was the one translating for her my mom asked for the manager, and they all laughed and said the manager is not here and there’s nothing we can do I don’t believe that there was no manager if so no wonder all her worker where being racist ignorants who could help my mom.
