Gucci - San Marcos Prime Outlets — Local services in San Marcos

As someone who travels from Houston annually to the San Marcos Premium Outlets, I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful new Gucci outlet, now located just across the street from Michael Kors. I will keep this short, but there are so many wonderful things to be said about the new store. The appearance of the boutique alone stands out from the other stores, given that it is nearly two times as large as the old location from across the street. Aside from the appearance and ambiance of the boutique, I was as equally delighted with the products I purchased as I was with the wonderful service I was gifted by my SA’s. Janelle and Bryan helped me, and went above and beyond to ensure I would love the pieces I would walk out of the store with. Specifically, Janelle was extremely empathetic and knew what I was looking for even before I could speak the words. She searched the entire boutique to make sure I walked out with the right size and fit that would be perfect for my lifestyle (I purchased the Gucci GG Maxi canvas high tops and the black and white oversized Gucci x Adidas T - shirt). I went in today to buy a belt, and I was super excited to see that the belt I wanted was sold in the store. I just really didn’t have a positive experience in the store from the lady with initials ANH who “helped” me and rang me up. I am not sure what her name was because she did not introduce herself and only got her initials from my receipt. I felt like she didn’t think I was going to buy anything from the store and got the cold shoulder. I felt like I inconvenienced her by asking for a smaller size. I still bought the item, which was really beautiful, but I got very turned off by the customer service. My friends and I came back later in the afternoon, and a salesman named Zach (only reason I’m adding an extra star to my review) helped him out and he treated him very nicely, packed his item with care, gave him the authenticity card, and his personal business card, while I got my receipt stapled to a no refund card - which she made clear to me that I cannot get a refund during the purchase which I am completely aware of. I would say this is a hit or miss store. There isn't a Gucci in Austin unless you go into Neiman's there is a boutique. There are some good options here just depends on what day you go. I've stopped in here a number of times before I found something that I actually wanted to get. I found it kind of weird that the leather bag was the same price as the fabric one. Being an outlet of course the styles are out dated. Occasionally there will be a tiny section of 5-6 bags that are on sale. There isn't an additional discount on top of the marked price of the bag regularly. The associates sometimes approach you to help you and sometimes they aren't very helpful at all. I had purchased a purse and told the sales person I would like to be informed if any wallets that match it come in, but I have yet to hear from him and that was a while ago. I wouldn't really return to the Outlet just for this store. I will stop in here if I'm already at the Outlets, but I wouldn't recommend to anyone to come here just for Gucci, because you aren't getting that...
