We bought a custom ring that they refused to refund us when the stone fell out, not letting us know that we couldn’t return it when we purchased it and even after telling us we could return it before calling us hours later and saying they were wrong and we couldn’t return it. They did not tell us we couldn’t have six prongs on an oval ruby center stone until after we received the revised six-prong piece with a ROUND rather than oval stone, not discussing the change with us in advance. And this is after we’d brought it back to replace the stone and they said we needed six prongs to ensure it wouldn’t fall out. The stone color was wrong; the cut was wrong; and we’ve had the ring in hand for less than a week’s time total since the purchase on Black Friday, and we’re at the end of April now. These people cannot get their stories straight, and at the end of the day, I’m paying for a ring I’m not wearing and haven’t seen in person for very long at all.
I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with this business and the lack of communication, lack of consistent information across the board, and the fact that they are taking such an incredibly long time to do work that falls apart or isn’t at all what we requested. Then they had the gall to blame our selection when no one discussed why they couldn’t do X, Y, or Z in the first place. I just have nothing good to say thus far regarding the way this company does business. I would never shop here again and caution against purchasing anything requiring sizing or customization or work from this jeweler. They don’t care about customer satisfaction or ensuring they provide accurate information, quality work, or timely service. I’m still waiting for information and work to be done. Read more(This was a different location not this one)I have been having soooo much trouble with my ring. I fell in love with it the first time i saw it 5/6 years ago. Since the ring wasn’t my size they had to resize to my size. After the we’re finished the problems started. My ring was stayed at helzberg more than on my finger the first year. It was breaking because they made it too thin. The ring was no longer a circle it was a hexagon shape. It’s was not a great experience. I was done and unhappy with my ring that I had once loved.
I decided to give a try and go into the helzberg in San Marcos (outlet location). I went in and had a great experience with James. He had let me know that if I wanted to exchange my ring i would have to speak to the manager.He let me know what options I had.
I called in the next day and spoke to Katherine. I honestly let her know how frustrated and unhappy I was with my ring. I pointed out everything that was wrong with it. She did explain some of the things that were going on. The information was super helpful. She told me she would be relaying every detail I told her to her jeweler. She was confident he could help.

We went to several stores trying to find a ring similar to my last one before we decided to try Helzberg. Upon entering the store, James automatically stepped in to assist us and was caring of our emotional situation. James and Cindy were both very helpful and kind throughout the entire process. I showed them a picture of my ring and they instantly gave us several options which I fell in love with. The rings did not compare to any others we had seen that day. We finally decided upon a ring and Cindy took us into the Diamond room to go over pricing and protective services they offer. Me and my husband both agreed we should have visited Helzberg for our initial rings due to the amazing customer service provided and the ring options.
