David, the salesman has a delicate personality. He would grab his forehead and shake his head as if to be dumbfounded by my questions. He told me he would shape my $30 tip he put on my new stick I purchased and then when I picked it up there was no shape to it. I tried to ask why he didn’t shape it for me but he just grabbed his head looked down and acted like I was an idiot. He told me it was ready to play with.? The tip is not only flat but there’s a rim and concaved in the center. How can that be ready to play with? He also told me he would give me a 10% discount for being APA and a 10% percent discount for being military so all in all he said he’d give me 20% percent off my cue. He said, “ I don’t care. I’ll give you 20%”. He conveniently only gave me 10% at the end. Very high pressure seles. He tried to get me to finance everything I needed for pool and he would pay the finance charges, he said. I’d call ahead and make sure he’s not working if I go back. He said they’re redecorating and prices are going up so I’d better buy today! Installation costs are going up $100 after today! I also found a bow tie shaper on line for 10.75 which he was trying to sell me for $25. I showed it to him; I showed him it’s even the same name brand. Instead of acknowledging the find it angered him. I really had to baby his ego. He was sure happy to tell us all about him being a tennis pro and his German girlfriend, showed us his huge watch he got for Christmas from the girlfriend. He couldn’t make it to his post office box until recently he’s been to busy. Every time I asked about a cue he wanted me to watch him shoot instead of answering my question. Great pointers but acknowledge my questions please. We were at the store three times today and each time there was a sign on The door that said he’d be back in 5-10 minutes he was in the wharehouse. The first time we were polite and waited 15 minutes before we called the number on the sign. He reminds me of a used car salesman not someone I want to help me buy fun toys for my house. I feel like if I didn’t pamper his ego he was going to loose his _ _ _ _ any minute. I was looking at cases after I decided on a cue and David told me there’s more expensive cases to my left. My husband was joking and said oh no don’t show her the more expensive ones. David said, “ No pressure here, noones going to put a gun to your head here”. I was shopping for a 7ft table. I looked at a few, but the ones I was interested in were out of my price range. The salesperson offered to waive the delivery and setup fee. It was still a little more than I wanted to pay, but I asked if I could go home and think about it for a day. I called back the next day (today) and asked if they could come down just a little more on the price. I was then told that they couldn’t even uphold the original offer they had made. It was a weird experience, and I’m not sure that I’d want to do business with them in the future.

EDIT: To respond to the owner’s comment… I told the salesperson that it was out of my price range. She offered to waive the delivery and setup. I said, “what is that, like $500?” and she replied, “I think it’s actually $600 for that table.” I then asked to think about it for the day. Instead of admitting a mistake when I called the next day (which it seems like that’s what happened), I got treated as if the conversation never happened and now I have the owner telling me on here that it’s a misunderstanding. No misunderstanding occurred. It’s either an honest mistake that your salesperson made (which you can choose to stand by or not, both would be reasonable) or some sort of bait and switch thing. The entire process was a great experience. I showed up and the store was actually closed. Vicki came to the door and let me in and allowed me to walk around, look at the tables and answered all my questions. Many tables were 35% off, and I really love the pool table I selected. See picture. Vicki is easy to talk to and knows everything about pool tables. Brian delivered the pool table and set it up in my house today. He was a little early and worked for almost 5 hours. He asked me many questions so I would get exactly what I wanted. He was not in a hurry, he took his time and did a great job.
