My mother had an add a pearl necklace from when she was a baby. It only had 4 tiny pearls on it and the chain needed to be repaired. She passed away last year and I was getting married October 18th. I wanted to at least have the chain Soldered so that I could wrap it around my bouquet to have it with me since I didn’t think I had time to add pearls or to change the fragile chain so I could wear it. I informed Eddie that I wanted to eventually finish the strand and he said he would see what he could do to repair the chain.
When I got the email stating that it was back from the stringers and that I could pick it up I was not expecting what I saw when I got there. It took my breath away. They were able to replace the chain and add enough pearls that it was perfect for me to wear on the big day. I cried so many tears looking at this piece that I will cherish forever. I still have a ways to go to finish a complete necklace, but until then it is PERFECT! And I will be taking it back to Knox jewelers to add all pearls. However, in the past couple of years I have had a similar experience to the previous reviewer -- not the "yelling", but defniitely the feeling that they don't want to be bothered with my work (despite my having had work done there for years). I have been told the same thing every time I've gone in the past two years -- "come back later, we are just too overloaded with work and can't get to you for months." I'm moving on.

Read moreI bought a dainty diamond ring while visiting Sint Maarten - love the ring, but I've already had two diamonds fall out. The first time I sent it to NYC for repair (at the suggestion of the place from which I purchased the ring). This time my husband took it to Knox, and not only did Eddie replace the missing diamond, he repaired several other prongs on the ring to prevent more from falling out - and they didn't charge us another dime.
