I’m a college student who took a few classes at Meta Music over the summer before I left for school. I’ve been making electronic music on my laptop for a few years now, but it was just a hobby and I had taught myself everything I knew. This led to some bad habits and misunderstandings about how to layer sounds together that made my music sound unprofessional and empty. This is what drew me to take these classes; I wanted to make my songs sound more professional and learn how to better use the DAW and effects to make more cohesive tracks. This is exactly what happened. I took 10 classes with Jake Aron, and he completely transformed the way I make music. Listening to my songs from a year ago, the detail and overall quality has fundamentally improved. I feel more confident in my ability to navigate the DAW, work with various sounds, and make music that I actually enjoy listening to. Even if you know how to make music, even if you think you don’t need to learn anything else, I urge you to try a lesson. Your efficiency and quality will improve, I promise. I can't say enough good things about Adam Carder. He has been my guitar teacher for the last 5 years and, thanks to him, music has become a daily part of my life. He is patient, inspirational and encouraging. If you are an older student (like me) and want to learn an instrument, this is THE PLACE to do it. The studio is incredible - beautifully decorated and a friendly welcoming team of music professionals that will immediately make you feel at ease. We feel the relaxed and fun atmosphere the minute you walk in the door. I've also started voice lessons with Cat and my husband has started saxaphone with Chris Suaraz. We couldn't ask for better teachers. All at the top of their game musically and kind and patient enough to teach others in an encouraging way. If you want lessons for your kids, all the teachers are fantastic with kids and make music very fun and interactive for kids. Don't wait, go ahead and sign up for lessons for you or your kids. I'm so impressed by how Meta Music is filled with so many wonderful people who are deeply invested in helping my daughter find her love for music. Taylor has been our daughter's instructor for over 2 1/2 years. He is simply AMAZAING with my daughter. She has played different instruments, wrote and produce sounds, and sung over her own track. Taylor has an unique way of connecting with my daughter in away that allows him to help her push pass her boundaries and be curious about all aspects of music. I've enjoyed seeing how my daughter as grown with Meta Music. Her confidence has grown musically and it is because of the guidance of Taylor. My daughter sang solo in the school assembly and he came to support her. That spoke volumes of who Taylor is and the type of instructors who work at Meta Music.
