Update: response to owner 9/12. Yes the coupon expired and no one was willing to compromise or tell me to come back the next day . So I got a loss while she still got her employee discount. I usually go to West Jordan I came here to see if they had more items or more of a variety to look at. I was pleased with the store layout and items. Upon checkout their nice cashier Emma had informed me that their system was down and she wouldn’t be able to take my gift certificate. Iam a very understanding person so I responded “ that’s okay is there anyway your manager could do like an override, or try to help us any other way.” Then someone checking out next to me said how do you expect us to do anything if the system is down then proceed to ask her cashier for her employee discount. I was confused because I thought “the system was down”. I then asked again if Emma could call the manager on the floor and the lady next to us said when does the coupon expire to which I responded tommorrow and she said back very snarky and rude “oh and you waited till the very last day to use it.” scoffing and shakeing her head. So we paid and walked out and I went back in after to try to speak to the manager on floor for the 3rd time and they informed me that the lady who treated me disrespectful was the general manager of that store Jennifer is her name . How rude and unprofessional when she wasn’t on the clock or in uniform. Btw for her information I was using the gift certificate to get clothing for my baby that’s due in 2 months and a $30 certificate can get you about 3 outfits so yes it’s a big deal considering I also use there credit card and have paid a lot of money and had on time payments. Just super out of pocket I don’t think all come back here! Emma had it she literally answer all my questions just fine she didn’t need to overstep her so thank you Emma for the good...
Read moreThis was our first experience ever at a Burlington and will be our last. We got a $25 gift card for our baby shower. We finally got around to using it now that our baby is 6 weeks old. We got some good baby products that we like and went to checkout. The line took over 30 minutes, and there was only one cashier. By time it was our turn, she didn’t know how to redeem our gift card. She scanned it like 20 times then called her manager. He tried it too and told us that it either had no money on it or was never activated. I had the activation receipt but that didn’t do anything for me. They were literally acting like it was a counterfeit gift card. I said I’d call the card to check the balance but I wasn’t getting back in the back of the line because we waited over 30 minutes. I stepped back and called and it said there was $25 available on the card. The whole checkout experience was ridiculous and made me so mad, and I’m usually a very patient person. My husband and I decided on the drive home that it would have been more worth it to just buy everything at full price and not have to deal with that. We will not...
Read moreWent to go checkout with my 3 items. There was a new girl on the register who was really nice and the manager helping her check me out. I tapped my card, new girl said I'm good to go, I chatted with new girl for a minute and went to my car. I'm sitting in my car and the manager lady comes running and screaming at me that I didn't pay. I guess the card thing timed out and new girl and I both thought it worked. The manager is yelling "WHERES YOUR RECEIPT? YOU LEFT WITHOUT PAYING" Like I did it on purpose. I obviously went back in and paid but how I was treated like a thief by this manager was not okay. That was absolutely not my fault that happened and I was more than willing to go in and fix the issue. I don't know how much that manager lady makes, but I sure do know it's not enough to be chasing down "thieves". She's lucky I didn't reach for my pepper spray when she came running and yelling at me. She scared me. Definitely...
