UPDATE Ethan Allen Sandy is a joke. After leaving my review below I was immediately contacted by Stephanie with a promise that a replacement table would be ordered that day (4/22/22) and that the chair that was never delivered had been re-ordered on 3/18/22 with a delivery date of 5/29/22. HERE WE ARE IN JULY AND STILL NO CHAIR! We purchased the dining table and 8 chairs in September 2021. Almost a year later and we cannot get resolution. Additionally there has been NO contact or follow-up from either our salesperson Lyn Schloer or from the manager Stephanie regarding the chair. I'm not holding my breath about the table; I doubt that we will ever receive a replacement. BUYER BEWARE and believe me when I say that once these salespeople and their managers have their commissions all customer service stops and it's a gamble as to whether or not you will ever receive what you paid for. Don’t believe the positive Google reviews. YELP tells the real story. I wish we had read them before ever setting foot in Ethan Allen. We will be filing a complaint with the Division of Consumer Protection.
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience with Ethan Allen in Sandy. If I could give 0 stars I would. We purchased a dining table and 8 chairs in September 2021; it was delivered January 2022. We ordered the dining table in a “Rye” stain finish. Upon delivery we noticed right away that the pedestal base and the tabletop are two different shades of stain. Our designer, Lyn Schloer, visited our home and determined that the tabletop itself was indeed the wrong color and that it was obvious to her that “someone [at the factory] forgot a step in finishing the tabletop.” She took pictures and assured us she would submit them to corporate to have an entire new table ordered in the correct stain. Weeks went by with no word from Lyn. When we called her for an update she said that she needed additional photos and made another visit to our home, leaving again with assurances that corporate would take care of it. Each time we spoke to Lyn she told us if we didn’t hear from her to call her for updates. Lyn has never followed up with us, we have had to reach out to her every time. We have been chasing Lyn for weeks trying to get this resolved, there has been no customer service whatsoever. Calls to a manager named Stephanie have been equally frustrating and futile. We have heard nothing but excuses from Stephanie about vague emails to corporate and “meetings” to resolve the issue and yet here we are, almost 5 months later, and still NO RESOLUTION WHATSOEVER. Additionally, Ethan Allen failed to deliver one of the eight chairs we ordered and again, 5 MONTHS LATER, we can’t even get a straight answer about where a single chair is and when we might receive it! A $6000 purchase and this is the quality and customer service we get?! These people have zero accountability and zero integrity.    Read moreWhen I first walked into Ethan Allen, I had no idea what I was looking for in the way of remodeling my living room, master bedroom and bathroom, and kitchen. I only knew that I wanted to repaint and put in new wooden floors and refurnish it. But Diane, one of the decorators, came up to me and we sat down and discussed my plans. She walked me through Ethan Allen and I saw a China Cabinet that I absolutely fell in love with. She explained that everything in the store was on sale for that week and that she could show me all the items that went with that one piece of furniture. Within about three hours I had found all the pieces I wanted for my living room, bedroom, and dining room. She later took me out to a wood flooring store and helped me pick out the perfect engineered flooring to complement the furniture. She helped me pick out the perfect color of paint for the walls. Diane even went with me to a place that had granite slabs where she helped me pick out the granite for my kitchen and bathroom counters. For the next two weeks, Diane stayed with me, helping me pick out fabrics for my couches, chairs and pillows for my living room and then we worked on the fabrics for the the master bedroom bed and love seat as well as lamps throughout and even helped me pick out a picture for the living room wall. Everything was coming together perfectly. Then we concentrated on the dining room table, chairs and bar stools. There was so much to do and without Diane, I would not have known where to start. She brought out many fabrics for me to go through. She kept samples of each thing we had selected, including the floors, paint colors, fabrics, wood samples from the China Cabinet, making it so easy for me to come up with each new addition as I continued to work with Diane to finish my remodel. Diane performs her job confidently and points out many things I need to consider now as I continue to accessorize my home. I am so happy with the results and my family and friends are amazed by the complete change over. I wanted a living room that created a calm, peaceful feeling and that is precisely what I got. When i first moved to NYC in 2001, I lived in what I call a Chicken coop, a small apartment with a kitchenette; not even a full size kitchen nor a full size refrigerator and no oven. Around the corner was an Ethan Allen gallery and I would buy a cup of coffee, usually one from the street cart, and walk through the store and admire and dream of the furniture. Well, fast forward 23 years later, i bought my first home and my first pieces of Ethan Allen. I met with Sarah at the Sandy, UT store and it was really a new experience for me. I remember after our first meeting, she mentioned she spent quite a bit of time with me. I needed some finer details which she helped with because I live in Hawaii and shipping to Hawaii was on my own time and dime. Sarah was patient and helpful. At our second meeting, I wanted to finalize the details of my selection. I walked in and Sarah, my designer, had color swatches and a small table set out. Everything looked beautiful. We went over the final selection and ordered my dream sofa, two ottomans and the beautiful gold table she had set out. Sarah was prepared. She was always available either through, phone calls, text or email. The day the furniture was delivered to the cargo company where I met it, she was available and supportive through it all. Infact, two days before delivery at cargo in Salt Lake City, UT, I was told conflicting information that I was not able to ship it. In a panic and being very stressed, i called Sarah and she quickly resolved it by saying we could put a pause on the delivery to cargo if it cannot be shipped until we figure out what to do. After some leg work and talking to a few people, i resolved the issue and was able to ship the sofa. I have never bought custom designed furntiure and it was truly a lovely experience. I have another project, and asked Sarah if she would like to work on it with me. I want to recover my dining room chairs with Ethan Allen fabric that will compliment what the furniture i just received.
