Cedars Laundromat — Local services in Sandy

I come here only because I have to, I don't have many other options. The machines are nice and the building is kept somewhat clean. But I am mostly leaving a 2 star review because the gentleman who I assume, owns this facility, talks about highly controversial political topics whenever he happens to be in the building checking on things or do to some sort of matetinance. It riles up some opposing opinions in other individuals who are subjected to hearing his and his friends, who happen to be in the building when he is visiting (seen this on more than one occasion) opinions. He has a handwritten sign posted stating that people 12 and older are required to wear a mask, only it doesn't apply to him or his two lady friends. I have been coming to this laundromat for multiple years and have witnessed this unfavorable behavior over a long period of time. He isn't obligated to acquiesce to other people's standpoints and opinions but he should really just keep his political conversations OUT of a building where the public is present. Anybody who has expressed an opposing opinion to his and leaves the building, him and his posse express how they would slash said persons tires or threaten physical harm. It's concerning and highly displeasing. If I had a different option, instead of this laundromat I would go there and recommend it ten times over this one. Purely because of the displeasurable verbal interactions that take place here and are mostly instigated by the building owner.

A random dog runs around the place jumping up on people- be prepared for that! Only laundromat without an ATM I’ve ever seen! you have to download some app- and it takes your money and doesn’t work properly! After swapping my laundry to dry into 3 different machines because the app refused to see them, I finally just used my debit card instead. The washers don’t accept debit cards however so I paid $10 into sone app and was able to use it for 1 load of laundry. So I’ve got $9 in some app that I’ll never use again. Everything else I had to use my debit card for because the app wouldn’t see most of the the machines. Also this place is not really wheelchair accessible unless you have a chair with a seat lift on it. No power doors, and no disabled parking. Ok well technically there’s one disabled parking space but it’s not compatible with any vehicle that has a ramp or a wheelchair lift. It’s situated right next to an asphalt ramp and isn’t possible to use update the laundry I washed in the large machines by the door now reeks of urine

I like it there. I very seldom have to wait for the special machines I like to use. There are different kinds on machines, big loads, medium loads, and for me, light loads. All different costs. Great Driers. Driers all cost the same-5 minutes for one quarter.

I go there every Saturday. Great place. Cool inside. Someone washed there closes in one of the big machines and I'm sure they needed to do there laundry as in front of the machine they used, was much dirt.. black dirt, and it was so much that it was on the floor in front of 3 machines. I like that place for several reasons. But today the broom and dust pan that hangs on a door. Is one. I used it to sweep up the dirt. Otherwise people would have to walk through it. Otherwise the place is kept up...
