Had I known door dash would be delivering my order, I would have ordered from somewhere else. My order was supposed to be delivered at 6:25, about 6:30 I get a text saying my order will be delivered at 7:07. Again, had I known it was gunna take OVER an hour, when it said online 25-35 minutes. Then I get a text at 6:40 saying a dasher has picked up my order and it should arrive at 7:07. I live, 5 minutes away, can someone explain to me why it needed to take almost half an hour for them to drive the 5 minutes to my house? So my food sat around for half an hour doing? And, I know it was ready, because it was all but cold when we got it. I work in a restaurant, I know how dashers are, thats why I WILL NOT order off any of those sites and always select for them to not deliver if it's an option, if it's not I pick up in store or order from somewhere else but I didn't see anywhere where it said it'd be delivered by door dash, nor anything about a 3rd party. And then the dasher, was wearing PJ'S. I really don't appreciate some kid in pj's shoving my food at me. So rude. I hope my tip went to you guys and not that kid. My pizza, while all but completely cold, was decent, definitely would have been a lot better hot or even warm. And I couldn't enjoy my wings because they were too hard thanks to being cold. We only order pizza when we can't make food or go get something due to us being disabled because they have their own drivers and we don't have to worry about our food getting cold sitting around waiting. And if there was somewhere where it showed itd be door dash, it needs to be more obvious, like oh, idk, when you are filling things out might be a good place to start. I looked twice, no...
Read moreUnfortunate experience. Ordered online and the auto-generated time estimate for ready-to-pick-up was 7:20PM. Showed up at 7:24PM for curbside pick-up (first time I’ve ever tried curbside p/u for anything anywhere).
Finally at 8:08PM (I think I was patient enough; 44 minute wait) I walked in and inquired and the clerk couldn’t have been more dismissive and indifferent and flatly said “the order after you had the same name so your order went to the wrong person-sorry; should be ten minutes”. Fair enough.
At 8:20PM they brought the two large pizzas to the vehicle and then went back in to grab the 2L drink, too. Never once a simple ‘sorry’, or ‘sorry again’, just a blank & bothered face with not one word. The clerk communicated I was bugging them by giving Pizza Hut business. And I understand said clerk was likely tired (was a Friday night, after all), but words matter and they communicated so very poorly.
Well, duly noted. I’ll never go here again anytime soon. If you’re in Sandy I suggest you go to Sparky’s or do take-n-bake somewhere.
Very unfortunate. Be better Pizza Hut. 2-star because the food was fine...
Read moreI had a coupon in the mail, it was for 2 medium pizzas for $9.99, WITH UP TO 5 TOPPINGS EACH.
Went i went to pick them up, they wanted to charge me $9.99 each. They claimed that the "each" in the phrase "with up to 5 toppings each" meant that the price was for each pizza.
I checked online and my coupon was a misprint. It should have had the word EACH after or below the $9.99.
Had the manager explained the error and apologized, but said she was not allowed to alter the price, I would have taken at least one pizza. But the obvious blow off and evasion I got made me refuse the order and walk out.
Most reputable businesses would have honored the coupon for customer goodwill.
I have had issues with pizza hut in the past, and this was my first order with them in over 15 years. I see that they are still a low class and customer careless company. Maybe I will wait 20 years before...
