Designer Yarn — Local services in Sandy

I have been a knitter for many years. I have not been a extremely experienced knitter. Sherri the owner of Designer Yarn has been the most helpful person in the greater Portland area for me. She is always patient, not at all condescending as I am asking sometimes embarrassing questions due to my lack of knowledge. I have really enjoyed the selection of yarn and especially her helpful suggestions about what yarn to use for specific projects. I know anyone who visits her shop will enjoy the easy going attitude of Sherri and the low key relaxed environment.. I am willing to drive from Corbett all the way to Sandy just because of the help...

The shelves were not very stocked, with many yarns down to just one or two color choices. The store looked like it was in the process of closing and liquidating, and maybe it is, but if not it needs to be better stocked to make it a worthwhile stop. This shop is really great and so is the owner. She is super friendly and knowledgeable and is always willing to answer questions. I took a crochet class with her and it was fantastic! She was so patient with me while I learned the basics of crocheting and I really love the wide selection of yarn...
