We decided to try Hoof & Vine for a birthday date night and we were not disappointed. The hostess, Leidey sat us immediately and and poured ice water leaving a litre of water at the table, a nice touch. Sarah, our server came quickly to take our drink and starter order. Sourdough bread and a wonderful whipped pepper and basil butter was set at the table before we got our appetizer. The crab cakes as a starter were moist and flavorful, and came plated on a cream and pepper sauce. My wife ordered a house salad, which comes with a light blue cheese dressing, and was very good. I ordered the Tiburon salad, spring greens, balsamic vinegarette, apples, (hold the walnuts), and romano cheese. It was fabulous! Our 16 ounce ribeyes were cooked to perfection. I prefer my steak seasoned before grilling but the meat was flavorful, well marbled, and tasty. Don't skimp and add the surf to your turf. The four barbecue shrimp served on the steak are so good. Sarah was attentive and pleasant throughout the meal, even though she had quite a few tables to take care of. Plates were delivered by any available server and came out exactly on time. I watched the hostess Leidey bus and move tables and generally keep things moving at a quick pace around the restaurant. Our meal wasn't cheap at $140 for two before tip, without wine. But I'll take Hoof & Vine over Ruth Chris any day. You can bet I'll be...
Read moreFirst time here and no fresh, local beer to go along the pretty good greek food. I even ordered food and was teased by a plaquard right above the former cashier stand advertising such. What a waste of a advertisement description having found out of this place from the internet. Dissappointing first time visit because of the switch in descriptions. The place is spacious clean inside and outside, but wasted space of rent and vibe due to callous, cold late millenial, gen z owner dreamed of streamlined business. May as make it a counter. Of the zero interpersonal interaction from start to finish, no cash ect it was just like a walk in drive through. It's not welcoming or an atmoaphere of anykind when one could see that it's a nice space.
I would recommend the gyro for good and fresh and light on spice for streamlined American tasted buds, if that's what one's searching. Other places will have more amped up bold greek tastes.
I would not recommend the falafel for lack...
Read moreA group of my co-workers and I placed an order through DoorDash for GR Kitchen. When it was dropped off, we noticed we were missing several items from the order. After calling to discuss solutions, the GR Kitchen employee stated that this was not their problem to fix, and instead we needed to contact DoorDash. After reviewing the DoorDash order, we found notes created by GR Kitchen for our entire order. After calling back to GR Kitchen, the employee, who stated they were the manager, was rude, unhelpful, and did not offer a solution to fix. Instead of owning the problem, as they should have, they continually tried to fault others and stated that the delivery driver could have ate the order since they personally bagged it up. I don't care whose issue this is, the problem is that we paid for food, didn't receive it, and the "manager" was less than helpful. The experience was frustrating, and could have been resolved with simple customer...
