Though service is slow, it is also personable and polite. I found my server of good humor and knowledgeable of the food, as if he himself ate it. The interior is urban modern with only the slightest touch of Asian. Seating is a mix of booths and booths with chairs. Music is tropical Caribbean and completely removes you from the mountains of Salt Lake City. In this environment, it is too easy to imagine myself on the beaches, having fresh caught fish turned into sushi. And talking sushi, the sushi was DELICIOUS on the first bite and worth the wait. When ordering, scan the table for a menu that comes up on your smart phone, in honor of current COVID standard of contactless ordering. (I much prefer this to the many restaurants printing and throwing away paper needlessly. Why spend money on printing and paper costs, let alone add to the mess that is our country, when you can go digital, like the modern people we are?) I ordered the P.D. and the Jenny. The P.D. (see images) was a mix of both tangy and sweet flavors, bursting on the pallette with a touch of savory in the back. Somewhere in each bite is also a tad bit of spice but not enough to disrupt the decent combination of flavor between salmon and mango. While the flavor is not consistent with each bite, it is still good enough to come back. If not satiated after the P.D., I encourage you to try the Jenny, served currently with a choice of king or ivory salmon. I chose the traditional salmon as I found the ivory a tad too buttery in flavor for my taste. Don't let my pallet stop you from exploring, though, because it was still delicious as sashimi- which is how I tasted it. Sadly, I give this experience 4 stars and not the 5 it so easily would have deserved had I not had to send back my tea twice just to get a hot cup of tea. (Arrived cool in a warm cup first, then warmer but not "hot tea" until the third cup arrived.) But, if you use that as excuse not to come and enjoy this experience, bluntly stated: you are an idiot.

Update We just had an even better experience. Ryan and Hannah are the best! I was about to tell Hannah about my daughter's allergies when she asked us. She was extremely concerned. Ryan the manager comes out with our food. He said it took a bit longer to make sure there was no cross contamination and they were extremely careful after they heard that another Tsunami didn't care and weren't careful about the allergies and we ended up in the hospital. Hands down the best Tsunami, with the most caring and concerned people working there! We already had heard they were the most allergy friendly and we have no doubts about it. Thank you so much Ryan and Hannah!!! This is my brother-in-law's and my sister's favorite place for sushi. I never went since I hated the name. My brother-in-law said this sushi is better than what he can get in California which says a lot. He said he wanted sushi so we went. We were highly disappointed they didn't the spider roll. We both wanted it. Now a bit of negative, I didn't love the vegetable tempura. I've had better. The cucumber salad needed to be in the seasoning for a bit longer to get the taste on the cucumber. I'm a cucumber lover and I grew up eating my Japanese neighbor's cucumber salad. I was very impressed that all the fish is wild so my daughter can have it and that sold me on this place for sure! The server (Blythe) was so kind, patient and amazing with all of us. She was excellent! The food was great too. As my husband puts it, it will be in our rotation of places to go.

Pros: -decent prices - good location -nice atmosphere -little wait time on meal(I ordered 4 rolls) Cons: -parking Went here for lunch with family (3) at around 1pm. No wait time although if you call for reservation ( they only reserve 1 hour in advance *note) was greeted by Deanna nice lady who sat us at a booth table (I chose it). Almost immediately Jill (Experienced) was with Jill (New person asian) they greeted us and told us about the specials and asked us if the we had any questions on the menu. ME being in sushi restaurants always asking how much sushi is per roll. Jill (XP) answered it swiftly. We ordered 4 sushi rolls a miso soup and bento box and not even 10 mins has passed food comes out all nice and present. Water glasses were always filled. Although I didn't appreciate Jill (xP) moving stuff in our table without saying a word to me that spoke body language of Haste and rush. And that's something I don't like especially in a sushi restaurant. After we finished our meal mom still eating jill (asian) asked if I wanted more rolls politely declined and Jill (xP) without saying a word takes our done dishes and leaves moms to finish I broke the ice and asked if she wanted to take these unused dishes she said yeah. I'm sure she has good intentions though.. And the Jill (asian) was doing well too! Overall all experience I love this place atmosphere is nice and clean that Asian feel. Recommend Level 10! Try the House rolls their good for feels~ personally the dragon did it for me

The food was Amazing! Probably my new most favorite place for sushi. The reasoning behind the ⭐️⭐️ Is simply bc of the poor service we received before and even when we were seated. Before we came in we called in to make reservations and were told they don’t allow reservations to be made so we didn’t really care so we went in and made our reservations and waited. While the hostess was seating us I had asked that we be put on a bigger table bc we like to order all our sushi all at once and a couple entrees. He rolled his eyes and told us we can sit at the table next to the smaller table which was the same size. We then asked if we can just sit at the open booth table where he told us it was “being saved for another reservation...”. Mind you he (the same person from on the phone) just told us you can’t make reservations so my husband called him out on the lie and sure enough he rolled his eyes again and told us we can be seated at the booth. I decided I would time our service just for the fun of it and it took 6 min to be greeted by Javier. At first everything was great but then after we received our food we didn’t see Javier for 21 min. We had to flag down another waitress to refill our waters for the first time and to also get us some sauces. He finally came and we requested for more sauce. We wanted to order more sushi but when he came to give us our sauces he quickly left our table before allowing us to even order again. So we waited another 9 min waiting for him even tried flagging him down. But it just seemed as if he was avoiding our table. Anyways.. by the time he came we decided we would not be ordering more food and would just leave. Funniest part is he charged us for the small tiny bowl of sauce 😂. Even though the food was amazing I’m not even sure if we even want to go back or just order take out. All in all.. food was amazing. Service Just wasn’t the best. ALSO, the booth next to the one we were told that had reservations freed up while we were eating. Seats just the same amount was never occupied. We were there until closing and no one was seated there. So props to the...
