0 STARS! WOST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! UNPROFESSIONAL, GREEDY, AND INCOMPITENT MEDICAL STAFF! (SEZIURE)
This facility caused me to have a seizure for the very first time. I have absolutely no clue where this medical team has gotten their training from and I truly hope the nurse involved resigns from medicine. The front desk was rude and the old lady gave me a dirty look as I walked in and left a new girl completely confused to check me in. She did not obtain any insurance, id, or medical information. Long story short I was getting my blood drawn because I am severely sick and needing the help. I started feeling light headed and dizzy like I was going to faint. I immediately said this to the nurse. As I said this I watched the nurse pull the tube of blood out and put a new one to fill in. As most know procedure would be so safely pull out the needle and attend to the patient. This nurse decided that she would get the rest of the blood first. When I stated that I might faint she acknowledged that the room was to hot and she would open the door after she was done. She told me to just hang on were almost there. My husband started telling her after I said I think I'm going to faint that he thinks she is taking to much blood. She ignored both of us and I fainted following an anoxic seizure. When I came to, the nurse practitioner Rebecca thought it would be wise to try to put me on the tall hospital bed even after being told I just had a seizure. I'm thankful for my medical training and safely got myself to the floor. The nurse tried lying saying that I did not have a seizure until my husband raised his voice and said that he has seen them before with someone else and that's exactly what it looked like. She even explained how my hips thrusted up and my body shook. I did not hear anything from them for 5 days and the 3 days following an anoxic seizure are crucial and it can cause it to reoccur with something as simple as being stressed or overheated but I was not given that information or even what type of seizure I had. I had to find it out on my own and the DR confirmed that I was correct. I tried to get into contact with the medical team to get a refund. I reached out 3 times to their 3rd party the first time they didn't even file my complaint. The second time they told me it would be a few days and they would expedite it. The 3rd time they told me two weeks and that the previous time wasn't expedited. I finally got tired of being given the run around and contacted the office. I called 3 times and waited 3+ days in between each time to still be ignored. I finally went into the office and eventually after a lot of fuss someone gave me an email to send. This was the 4th time contacting their in house person named Aubrey. I cried and begged and made it clear that I needed the refund so that I was able to go and see another DR and get the proper care that this facility was negligent at. She told me they did everything right so they would not be giving a refund, but if it was so important I could talk to the person above her. I sent my email and to no surprise the person above her is just as negligent as the rest of the staff and ignored me. I have had my blood drawn since that showed sever medical problems that needed to be addressed. I did not have a seizure with the new blood draws. I wasn't able to go to another DR for 2 months because I am a 23 year old college student who had to wait for school to start to be able to afford to see a DR. This company is greedy and only cares about the money. Patients are just a dollar sign and another day to them. Please save your money, your health, your time, and yourself and go...
Read moreI was a Medallus customer when it was After Hours Medical for nearly 19 years and had always believed this clinic provided reliable care. That changed on June 23rd, 2025, when I had a disturbing and frankly dangerous encounter at their Sandy location that showed me exactly what kind of operation they’re running.
A friend of mine had just been seen by their provider and was diagnosed with a collapsed lung — a medical emergency by any standard. I was next door at the time and arrived within minutes to take him to the ER at Alta View Hospital, as instructed. When I walked into the clinic and informed the front desk that I was there as emergency transport, I expected immediate coordination, or at the very least, basic awareness of the urgency.
Instead, the front desk employee reacted with hostility, raised her voice at me, and barked orders for me to sit down — as if I were causing a disruption rather than responding to a time-sensitive medical situation. I calmly explained again that I was there to get a patient who had just been told he needed to be in the ER immediately. She refused to assist, refused to notify the back staff, and escalated the situation by loudly stating she wasn’t going to deal with me, before storming off.
Let me be clear: I never yelled, or behaved inappropriately. I simply advocated for someone who was in medical distress and needed help. Thankfully, another staff member, who clearly understood how serious the situation was, took over and brought the patient out promptly.
As if that weren’t enough, this same front desk employee followed us out of the building and photographed my license plate without any explanation. When I calmly asked for her name, she refused to identify herself. I was stunned by the lack of professionalism, the hostility, and the absolute failure to act in the interest of patient care.
I then reached out to someone I believed could help address the issue: Kim, who, according to Medallus's own materials, handles member communication and support. Rather than expressing concern or investigating what happened, she chose to cancel my membership entirely, despite the fact that I had already decided not to renew it. This move felt retaliatory and confirmed what I had just experienced in person — that Medallus does not prioritize patient care or accountability, but instead seems focused on protecting egos and silencing those who speak up.
Between the hostile front desk behavior, the lack of urgency in a real emergency, and the corporate indifference, I can confidently say this is not a company that should be trusted with your health. Their actions were not just unprofessional, they were reckless.
Before you consider stepping foot in this place, do yourself a favor and read the other reviews on both Yelp and Google. They're not exaggerations. You’ll see a disturbing pattern of rude staff, bad communication, billing issues, and serious care concerns. My experience is far from unique, and that’s the scariest part. If this is how they handle customer service, how do they handle actual patient care when no one is watching?
I’ve since withdrawn not only my own membership, but also canceled the 48 contractor plans I managed through Medallus. A company that punishes patients for speaking up instead of fixing the issue is not a healthcare provider — it’s...
Read moreI went here to get my ingrown toenail fixed and cut out like they had did before on my other big toe. When I went to get my other ingrown out the doctor was very unpleasant, rude and inconsiderate. If I could give 0 stars I would. When he walked in he didn’t say his name didn’t greet me or anything just gave me a dirty look on his face like he was annoyed he had to do his job. He then picked my foot up looked around it a bit and giggled a little and said “so umm what do you want me to do about it” and I simply said “well just do the surgery like I got last time to get it out.” And he replied by saying “yeah well I don’t like doing these.” He then said he’d be back and left the room. After waiting for him for a couple minutes I was so disgusted with the way he treated me I wanted to leave and my grandma told me to stay. He then came back in and said “well are you ready” and I told him last time I was taken into another room and he said he was just gonna do it in the room I was in. He then numbed me all up and began with the procedure. I bled obviously and then when he was done he did not clean me up I had blood on both sides of my toe. Then a different lady came In to bandage me up and she didn’t say much and also looked and acted as if she didn’t want to be there. She also avoided cleaning up my blood and just put the bandage on lose and only wrapped it around once so later that day my bandage fell off. Last time I had this surgery done the older guy that did it was so nice to me made sure I was comfortable and talked to me the whole time cause he could tell I was nervous. The lady that bandaged me up that time was also so sweet as well and made sure it was on super good and that I felt okay. When I had this done the first time It did not hurt me at all and he didn’t cut half my toenail out just the ingrown and this second time I have been in so much pain and he cut half my toenail off so now I only have the other half so my ingrown will probably go back. I felt comfortable going here again since my first experience was so good and now I will...
