A MUST-VISIT! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Our experience here was nothing short of amazing—we were welcomed like family from the very start. From the warm Japanese greeting and farewell to the attentive, thoughtful service, every detail showed genuine care.
The food? Absolutely unforgettable. The freshly hand-pulled noodles were a masterpiece—silky soft with just enough stretch and bite to make every slurp satisfying. The “UT bun” was almost too cute to eat—Instagram-worthy, pillowy soft, and bursting with flavor.
We tried three ramen bowls, each one unique. The black garlic ramen was the star—deep, smoky, umami-rich, and hands down the best ramen I’ve ever had (yes, even better than my favorites in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles!). The tonkatsu was creamy, rich, and comforting—I recommend upgrading to the pork belly chashu, which literally melts in your mouth with perfect thickness. The red spicy ramen was a revelation—layers of flavor with heat that slowly blooms at the back of your throat. Not overpowering, just the perfect balance of warmth and spice that keeps you wanting more.
The pepper karaage chicken was addictive—crispy, golden, with a lemony-pepper kick and just a touch of sweetness. And the dumplings? You can taste generations of care in that recipe. The skin has an unmatched texture and flavor, wrapping perfectly seasoned filling that sets these apart from any dumpling I’ve had elsewhere.
And beyond the food, the whole experience shines. We loved the Japanese treats and items you can buy—Ramune sodas, unique drinks, and even fun little games for the kids. The staff thought of everything, even bringing out smaller bowls so our kids could enjoy with ease. It’s rare to find a spot that feels equally special for adults and fun for kids—but this place nails it.
Overall, this isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. Exceptional food, heartfelt hospitality, and flavors that stay with you long after you leave. Truly a must-visit in every sense....
Read moreI spoke to the manager for quite a long time - they were very friendly and very passionate about the food. I learned a lot about the restaurant and Japanese culture from them.
The food was presented beautifully and was quite tasty. I will definitely come back. I’m giving the food 4/5 stars because I think I didn’t quite get the right thing for me. But the quality of the food and everything else about the restaurant will for sure bring me back to try other items on the menu.
The menu is pretty small, just one page. I like when restaurants do that. It tells me that they focus on doing a few things really well, rather than trying to do a lot of things kind of well. ie quality vs quantity. They clearly focus on quality at UT Craft Ramen.
You pay for everything before you get seated. At first this threw me off, but actually I really ended up liking it because you can just leave the restaurant whenever you are ready. No need to do the “dance” with the waiter after your meal where you hope they notice that your credit card is sitting in the tray and they can take your payment.
The atmosphere is awesome. One piece was playing on a big screen TV, and there were lots of snacks and figurines that could be purchased. The atmosphere is fun and family friendly. I much prefer this over some other Ramen joints in the valley that are so “serious” and have more of a night club vibe.

Read moreUT Craft Ramen is everything you’d hope for in a ramen restaurant, and more. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, casual atmosphere and the thoughtful decor. We were greeted with a variety of snacks and drinks, and the lighting created a cozy, welcoming vibe that matched the hospitality.
Even their bathroom stood out as one of the most considerate I’ve ever seen in Utah. Stocked with mouthwash, toothpicks, cotton swabs, women’s care items, and spotless cleanliness, it genuinely felt like stepping into someone’s Japanese home.
When it comes to the food, the attention to detail in every dish is undeniable. You can feel the care and passion behind each bowl, it’s the first time I’ve ever felt refreshed after finishing ramen. Having lived in California and Las Vegas, I can honestly say none of the ramen spots I tried there compare to this experience.
Prices are very reasonable, with ramen starting around $15. The marinated egg was perfectly balanced (not overly salty like many others I’ve had), the gyoza was light, juicy, and crispy, and the UT Bun was the star of the meal. The bun was pillowy-soft yet sturdy, holding a perfectly breaded katsu inside. It was generously portioned and incredible value for the quality.
