I had an extremely disappointing experience selling at the Sandy location. I rented a closet from 2/8/25 - 2/14/25 and documented every item with photos and prices. However, when I checked my closet mid-week, I noticed several items missingâmore than what I had been paid for.
When I brought this to the manager Tayleeâs attention, she acknowledged that I was missing five items totaling $110 and assured me she would investigate by checking security footage and speaking with employees. However, communication was terrible. I followed up multiple times with little to no response. When I finally got Taylee on the phone, she acted like the issue had already been resolved, which was completely false.
Whatâs even more concerning is that Taylee later stated that a customer bought 10 items from my closet on Saturdayâyet my sales records do not reflect this at all. That alone is clear evidence that something went wrong on their end. When I asked her to resolve this by Friday night, she agreed, yet when I arrived, she wasnât there, and none of the staff had any idea about the situation. The employees were visibly frustrated with her lack of communication, just as I was.
At this point, it became clear that she was just stringing me along with no real intention of fixing the issue. After all of this, I received a generic, automated email about their theft policy, stating they found no evidence of theftâwhich is hilarious because Taylee herself admitted that my items were missing! They claim to have security cameras, yet apparently, they never actually check them. So whatâs the point? Instead, they subtly make it seem like I am trying to take advantage of them.
I would love to look at the footage with them. It is hard to miss a bright orange item and a pile of five items on top of that. I wish the company took accountability, but seeing that they were so relaxed about the situation tells me this happens often.
Bottom line: Your items will be stolenâwhether itâs by an employee, a customer, or even another seller taking credit for your pieces. There is no accountability, no effort to resolve theft issues, and no real communication. I would not recommend selling here at all.
UPDATING TO OWNERS RESPONSE: NOT TRUE AT ALL! Taylee and I went over the items that were paid for and only a few matched. I had items over $60 all free people and were NOT accounted for. I took photos of every item and I had only 5 sales but over 15 items missing. TAYLEE AGREED THAT MY ITEMS WERE MISSING. This is me not confusing the 60% rate. Your response proves my point that you are pointing the finger at me rather than actually investigating and sending off a generic email stating there's really nothing you can do. And since I signed the terms and agreements that is fine but what was not fair was the stringing me along for a week, with providing me false hope and then spinning this around and saying this is my fault and I am confused. This company sucks and I will not bring my buisness...

I recently had the most fantastic shopping experience at Preloved, and I couldn't wait to share my thoughts with fellow shoppers! As someone who's always on the lookout for unique finds and great deals, Preloved offered me a true shopper's paradise.
One of the standout aspects of my experience was the quality of the products on display. It was evident that sellers at Preloved take pride in curating items that are not only gently used but also well-maintained. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of many of the items I came across â some felt almost brand new! This attention to quality made my shopping experience even more satisfying, knowing that I was getting real value for my money.
The layout and organization of the marketplace deserve applause as well. Navigating through the booths was a breeze, and the clear signage and categorization made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for. I never felt overwhelmed or lost, even though there was so much to explore.
In addition to the fabulous shopping, I had the opportunity to set up my own booth at Preloved. The process was smooth and hassle-free. The staff provided ample guidance, and the online interface for managing my booth was intuitive. Within a short time, I had my booth up and running, showcasing items from my own collection. The engagement from fellow shoppers was heartwarming, and I even made a few sales! It was a fulfilling experience as a seller, and I appreciated the platform's efforts to support both shoppers and sellers alike.
In conclusion, Preloved is a shopper's dream come true. With its diverse range of items, exceptional quality, and a user-friendly platform, it's a place where you can indulge your shopping desires without breaking the bank.
Don't miss out on the magic of Preloved â it's not just shopping, it's...
Read moreUPDATE Ok, adding an update now that Iâve sold there twice. Pretty easy experience. I liked that you can see total sales and manage the discounts online. I did sell a lot on the last day at 50% off. I wish there was a way to easily keep your tags for another week of selling. Because theyâre tagged with the booth #, you have to wait until that same booth is available again or else re-tag everything. One other very annoying thing is that they auto deduct the first $5 of your sales as some sort of administrative fee. I was originally told this was for the tagging kit, but the second week my items were already tagged. When I mentioned that, the sales associate said it was to cover the maintenance of the booth, etc. While itâs a small amount, it feels VERY disingenuous to have this hidden fee that isnât disclosed anywhere on the website or when you book. If you didnât know, youâd just think you sold $5 less. For an otherwise great concept, this is a bit shady. Just increase your booth fee. Or mention it on the website. It left a bad taste it my mouth. Docking one star (but considered docking 2).
Each week with a very full booth I made ~$48 ($23 net when you account for the $25 booth rental). The second week I used all the stuff that didnât sell the first go around, with a few new items. So for about 5 hours of work (tagging, set up/take down x2) I made $46. Definitely not getting rich unless you have some super high end stuff.
ORIGINAL REVIEW Iâve been twice in the month since they opened and found great bargains both times. The selection rotates every Saturday and I love that the discounts get steeper later in the week. I found the most ADORABLE coats for my 3 year old niece for less than a dollar each. Love having a quality thrift option in Sandy and Iâll...
