This place is ok. The only reason it was ok was because of our amazing server Scout! He was top notch and so kind. We came here for my birthday so we excepted to be here for quite awhile as we always do at any Italian restaurant we visit because we end up having such a great time. I’d like to start by saying my husband salmon was made very well and tasteful! As for my Italian dish at an Italian restaurant…not so much. I had ordered the gnocchi an expected an excellent dish especially for the price, my dishes arrived very quickly which was my first red flag..I know it’s supposed to be fresh pasta and fresh pasta does cook fast but I expected the sauce to be fresh as well not just pre made during the day and set aside in a warmer to be pored on-top when someone orders a dish. You can tell that is was happens here because the top of the sauce has that firm top right before you break into a cheese sauce and then find the gooey cheese inside or it was set under the warmers for to long, either way second red flag. When I bit into my gnocchi I was expecting a soft bite but was surprised by an extremely mushy, unstructured dough and flavorless sauce! I told my waiter that my gnocchi was not cooked correctly and he was more then happy to fix it, a few seconds later the manager came over and asked me what was wrong with my dish, I explained to him what I just wrote above and he said he would get me another one, I accept and no less then 3 mins went by he brought me a “new” batch. He stood there and waited for me (the manager) to eat it and asked how it was this time. I told him it was ok and that I was probably just used to my gnocchi or the many other fantastic gnocchi dishes I have had in the past…this is when he proceeded to tell me that “well this is fresh gnocchi and this is how the texture should be, I know you probably cook yours from a box and that’s going to have a different texture, you can’t compare fresh gnocchi to the un fresh boxed stuff…” at this point he asked again how it was and I just told him it was fine and he walked off…little does he know I have been specializing in authentic Italian cuisine for years now and thought it was funny how he automatically assumed I cook “from the box” anyway at this point I was deeply un impressed by the lack of customer service from this manager and was ready to just get our check and leave. In all we spent 55mins there. Not to mention their wine is HIGHLY overpriced. The only thing keeping that place alive is...
Read moreWe had a reservation but arrived late, though thankfully, we were seated immediately. Our table was close to the kitchen, and while our server promptly introduced herself and shared the specials, I could barely hear her over the noise. The bar, bussers, cooks, and other servers created a loud and chaotic environment, which was surprising for a restaurant that positions itself as upscale. Our server was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and distracted. Shortly after placing our order, the appetizers arrived, but before we could finish them, the main dishes were brought out and placed on our already crowded table. No one cleared the plates, and we ended up stacking them ourselves to make space. Despite the chaos, no one offered water refills, and while the server checked in once or twice, it felt more like a formality than genuine attentiveness. As for the food, the appetizers were filling, but the entrees lacked the rich Italian flavors we've enjoyed at places like Carmine’s or Osteria Amore. By the end of the meal, we were ready for dessert, but when we asked for the menu, our server disappeared for a solid 5-7 minutes. We noticed her chatting at the host station, completely engrossed in conversation. Frustrated, we decided to skip dessert and just pay the check. My partner approached her to request the bill, but she barely acknowledged him. Instead, she gestured for him to wait with a quick "just a minute" motion, all while continuing her conversation with the other servers at the host station. At that moment, he decided not to leave a tip. He eventually approached another server, Wynn, who kindly apologized for the poor service and even offered a free dessert as compensation. We declined, paid, and just wanted to leave. As we were heading to our car, I made an effort to thank our server directly, but her response was dismissive, a quick “Aha, bye, bye thanks.” We thought it was over, but to our shock, she came running after us into the parking lot! Embarrassed, we turned to find her loudly asking if we had paid and who we paid. We were absolutely astonished by her behavior. In all our dining experiences—whether at Michelin-starred restaurants in France or small local eateries—we had never encountered anything like this. We always tip, but this time was an exception, and it was...
Read moreNo need for false clams Waleska, I called your old gift card vendor owner.com and was able to verify that the gift card was not used yet! My exact email, phone number, card number everything was used to verify that I purchased the gift card and that the money was still untouched. I have no idea how you so badly verified with your “backend” because this info seems to be out of date. I wanted to speak to you calmly about this but you jumped to all types of conclusions lol. You even didn’t pick up and said “no need to chat”. So rudely. The vendor representative was even confused how you could’ve messed this up and not check with them because it’s clearly facts that it could’ve been traced by a simple call to them. The vendor was able to refund me the full money back, fairly, as I was deserved because we were never honored the use of the gift card at Scelto. Nor honored a refund since Waleska falsely jumped to conclusions instead of doing due diligence. They also sent me and scelto an email verifying this fact so there is exact proof. The vendor services were so transparent and gave exceptional support. Waleska making false accusations is so serious. The only person who’s fraudulent is you Waleska, not giving me my money back when I could never use the card. What proof do you have saying this $47? I would have liked you to forward me an email to prove this, double check your numbers, do your due diligence and call the vendor like I did, but really I don’t care anymore.
Waleska the reason we did not want another gift card from you was the experience my friend had was already bad and the food was also not good, why would we want another gift card?
In regards to your “text messages”, I do remember you saying you’d call me when you got back from your trip, yet no call. I had to text you and ask you again a second time, when this was already a second attempt since my friend already left all her info to have you guys contact her. She also received no call back.
I should’ve read the reviews before purchasing. Because no wonder why they have so many...
