Kid to Kid Sandy — Local services in Sandy

I have loved this location in the past and had a great experience selling and buying, but today I called to ask about buying hours and said I would be coming in and when I arrived I was greeted by 2 employees telling me they weren't buying due to an event. I was kind, but did ask why I wasn't told that on the phone when I had called in, so I asked if I could wait for a manager that I was told was on break to find out if I could leave my bins until the next buying day, accepting the risk of items being taken before the buy because I planned on donating after anyway. They said I could wait for the manager who was on a break because it wasn't a drop off location, so I walked around the store while I waited. When the manager, Ashley, came back from break, she immediately was aggressive and angry with me for making her come back early (which I never asked for...I was content as can be to wait and shop and I even called the Lehi location while I waited to see if I could drop off there instead of taking everything home). Ashley asked me to leave the store and never come back....I stood in shock and so did the 2 teen employees in all honesty because they knew I never lost my temper, just was frustrated and was waiting to see if I could leave my items. I can't imagine what Ashley was going through today to be so rude, but I wouldn't want to shop at this location again...

I shop here a lot and bring clothes here too. I'm SO glad the staff has changed. Thank you, management. The girls were caddy and talked down to me and my daughter as if the things we brought in were filthy. We brought in a piece of furniture - a little chair. The girl said, "Oh, we don't need those right now." It was in perfect shape. Clean and no rips. While I was shopping, another customer came in with an identical one. I watched the girl take her green one and when I asked this same girl about it, she told me she did not buy it either as they already had too many. I pointed to it there behind the counter and she said that was being held for a customer in the store and it was not new but they had had it in her store about 6 months now. So needless to say I stopped shopping there. I needed some pajamas for my little toddler and really didn't want to but I did go in anyway. I was greeted warmly and treated like a valued customer. I'll put out the good word that a refreshing change has been made and...

I drive to this Kid to Kid simply because I think it's bigger, nicer, and has a great selection. The staff is always nice and helpful. The selection is pretty good. I love the sales. I do try to go when I have time to look through stuff and make sure what I'm getting isn't stained. They have a large selection of winter gear in August and September. I have not had very good luck with finding shoes here. And the toys are mostly for 3 and under. If you are bringing in clothes, there is a 2 box/basket limit, per day. They no longer accept clothing in garbage bags. Clothing must be clean and laid flat in the containers. I try to make sets of clothes. It's easier for the staff to choose them if they are already paired I feel. In my experience I have been able to get more in store credit than cash out. I just shop while they are going through my stuff. I usually only owe a couple bucks...
