My fiance and I went to look for my wedding shoes back in February and as I found a couple pairs I was going to buy I stood around for a good 15 minutes waiting for help, as i looked around the ladies shoes department I noticed 4 employees standing at one of the counters chit chatting, i then stood around for another 10 minutes expecting one of them to ask if I needed help after 30 minutes of waiting I put the shoes back on the shelf and walked away. I used to work at this dillards so I wasn't going to hand the employees a sale, I hate to work for my sales so i expect everyone else to as well. Not sure who the manager is but they need to train their employees on customer service. In the same day my fiance was looking for a suit, while my fiance was looking around 1 employee asked if we needed help when we said "yes" and proceeded to find a suit, once the employee found out my fiance never went suit shopping before and didnt know what to look for he was pretty much treated like trash, when my fiance asked if he could be measured the employee responded with "i dont know where my tape measure is so I can't measure you but heres a suit jacket to try on." After my fiance asked if he could try on the jacket and pants to see how the fabric felt the employee said "were not allowed to let you try on any pants just the jacket." Then continued handing my fiance jackets that were 4 times too big for him, after the employee turned around we left the jackets on the rack and walked out. Luckily today (4-19-19) we went in for a final time to find a suit vest and were greeted with an amazing male employee who was very helpful. He wasnt pushy or stuck up, very charasmatic. Dillards however needs to lower their sales quotas for the employees and hire in more, its very hard to find help 99% of the time and when someone acklowedges a customer theyre quickly...
Read moreThe Dillards in the Sanford Mall is really the only great thing they have left in this mall which is very sad. My husband and I stopped by there last night to get some cologne for someone for a Christmas present and the lady at the perfume counter ( didn't get her name) was very nice and boxed the cologne up with a couple samples with a bow since they were sold out of the gift set. Then we walked past the shoes and my husband told me to pick out a couple pairs of boots for my birthday. They had a GREAT selection and the real reason for my review is for the shoe salesman in the woman's department. He is an older gentleman named Jimmy. Wow! Did he know his stuff!! He was running his tail off making the few people in there feel like the most important person ever! Not only did he know about every brand, he gave us the background of the brand. He was very energetic even at 8 pm on a Tuesday night. He told us how to take care of my boots to make them last longer, checked the sizes, checked the receipt to make sure everything was right and practically walked us half way out of the shoe department with a huge smile on his face! This kind man deserves a raise! I think I'll be getting all my shoes from here as long as he takes care of me! Thanks...
Read moreI love Dillard’s, and appreciate their concept. I am also their loyal costumer with credit card. I spend roughly $10k+ yearly. My prime location was Altamonte springs, ( even they closed department for me and my mom since I am VIP Client) until I moved to Sanford. I started attending this location. I did appreciate Chanel cosmetic department. Until today, my husband was purchasing Chanel black perfume for me. And amazing clerk Lucy helped him. But Margarette ( Asian ) was very disrespectful ( Mugler perfume department) and made my visit unpleasant. Just over travel size sample (Mugler). Such a shame. I did explain her I simply want to try the sample out since I have purchased all selections previously from Dillards and this was new. Yet she continued arguing that sample is for “other costumers that purchase Mugler perfume” this Clerk attempted to make me feel less...
