Michaels — Local services in Sanford

Look I want to start by saying there were 2 amazing employees (I feel so bad I didn't catch their names) at the Sanford Michaels that took the time to come down to my 5 year olds eye level and have patience with him. He has a hard time speaking do to a hearing impairment, he was on a mission for very detailed cardstock paper to make a chain to go around his Grandmas Christmas Tree. It had to be special colors to match their new theme for this year since his baby brother is now old enough to help decorate too. After a good 20 minutes of back and forth between multiple locations in the stores he finally was able to get his words out and they were so calm and helpful and directed him to pretty much exactly what he was looking for. Thank you so much for making his Christmas Tree complete.

Note we drove from Eustis all the way to Sanford because he said Wal-mart, Target and a couple other stores were not going to work, they didn't have the right paper at all. Yall are awesome. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!💙💙💙💙...

I was told my gift to my son would be ready in 2 weeks. Called in two weeks only to be told “it wasn’t ready” with no further explanation. My son came to visit me from college about this time so we could spend time with him and I could give him this gift.

Called at three weeks to then be told it was still not ready, but that I could pick it up on Friday Dec 8th. I called in to get an update on Friday and was told it was still not ready, to check back in on Saturday, possibly Monday. Of course it wasn’t ready on Saturday so I again called on Monday. Then I was told they hadn’t even started to make the final piece of the frame.

My son now has gone back to school and I had nothing to give him as a birthday gift.

Absolutely pathetic communication and customer service. ITS BEEN A DISASTER.

The the store manager finally talked to me but only to make a litany of excuses about how she can’t control the situation—or try to provide a reasonable solution. Zero...

So I came here for some Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving night. I choose to come here because they have 50% off almost all of their picture frames, and they have a 30% off your whole purchase coupon attached to their ad for items that are not doorbusters. I saw that a certain brand of frames were doorbusters, so I avoided them, but I still got tricked, and the 30% off counted for like none of my items. Oh well.

The store itself was very nice. It's like being in a Toys-R-Us but for arts and crafts. The amount of various styles of frames was mind boggling. I wanted to buy them all. Heck, I wanted to buy the whole store. The price of these arts and crafts stuff is wayyy too high for me, though. I'm not that passionate about it, but the markup on these items is so high that the ridiculous sales they have around this time of year are way too...
