Towne Center Plaza — Local services in Sanford

Was happy to find a Jo-Ann's Superstore in the area, only to be extremely disappointed. The store is large with mostly empty shelves. The fabric selection was adequate, but the rest of inventory was lacking. Several employees were dealing with shelving units at the entrance of the store. One overwhelmed employee was trying to get help dealing with customers on the phone while also trying to help store customers. The other employees equally left us to our own, until we got to the cashier who refused to ring up our order until we stepped fully behind the plastic partition. I went to JoAnn fabrics in the Town Center Plaza. Other than the amazing & friendly service I received from the older Lady cutting my fabric, this store is NOT worth shopping at. Barely any help and even though the store is not packed w/customers, you can barely find an associate to help you. And check-out, forget it. I don't know why the cashiers rang the bell, it wasn't explained. The cash register stations were so packed and jumbled with "stuff" at EVERY register, I don’t know how the cashier didn't confuse my items with the "stuff" on and under her counter. NEVER, EVER, EVER shopping...

Don't go to their website to find out what time they close. You'll show up to some woman telling you "so sorry, we closed early" and you'll have wasted an entire trip like I did today. This is the second time this location has arbitrarily changed their hours in a month when I've tried to go. Website says 9pm closing, but apparently they just decide to close at 6 sometimes, and you'll never know when that is. This is the last straw for me. I guess I'll be ordering all my craft supplies online from reliable retailers from now on. I'm not wasting any more gas or time...
