we had the worst possible experience with reids in santa barbara. we went to reids instead of buying from a large store like sears bec we wanted to support local business. big mistake. they did not support us in any way. they made us victims of their bad policies and lack of customer satisfaction. when our new fridge was delivered with a broken cooling unit we had to throw away all the foods we stocked the new fridge and we sat with an empty fridge that didn't cool for months without anyone from the store caring to return our calls when we called for help. we discovered too late that reids do not stand behind their merchandise and will only offer to send a repair person service to fix new appliances when delivered broken. they do not understand the justice policy concept of implied warranty with new purchases of appliances. the salesperson farid azizi and store manager andrew never returned our calls. they sent an appliance service person who knew nothing about the fridge he was servicing who came week after week and wasted time after time trying to make a new broken refrigerator work instead of just replacing the fridge from the beginning as we found out later they would have done immediately at lowes. reids refused to make good our purchase so we had to go to the ceo of the company of the brand we purchased to get any satisfaction which took months to resolve.. the delivery people at reids were ignorant about how the appliances worked and shoved and pushed the fridge into place many times when they delivered it which could have been the reason the fridge broke. we suffered months of disappointment, financial loss, stress and suffering from how we were treated at reids for an all cash sale. we will never shop there again. idlers appliances is the only place we would shop for appliances now. like night and day...

The installers discovered a dent in the refrigerator door and said they would have it replaced. It is now March 2018 and we still have no new door. Apparently the reason is that the original replacement order initiated in December was never followed up by Kitchen Aid and the order was lost. As of today a new order has been initiated, with a likely delivery date of another 6-8 weeks. Note that the service personnel have been kind and apologetic but the fact of the matter is that no one at Reid's ever followed up with us during this period of time to make sure that the problem was rectified. That is...
Read moreLook, we've all heard those delivery horror stories, but Reid's Appliances restored my faith in humanity! The salesperson actually knew their stuff and helped me pick a washer/dryer that wouldn't require me to knock down walls to get it in my place (always a plus). Then came the real MVPs - Kaleb and Mike - who showed up EARLY (I know, I checked my calendar twice) and somehow ninja'd these machines up three flights of stairs without a single scratch. And trust me, those stairs are no joke!
Could I have saved a few bucks buying online? Sure. Would I have ended up with a sad pile of dented metal at the bottom of my stairs? Probably. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and Reid's delivers - literally and figuratively. Worth...
