Very disappointed with this area when I went for a nice walk early in the morning.
A few people strung out on drugs or something when I was walking around with a friend early in the morning. Felt a bit unsafe. There was man talking and screaming to himself. He threw a full bottle of water onto the street that almost hit me if I didn't stop. Further down the street there was a lady sitting on the curb moaning for no reason. Maybe she was coming down from her high. Not sure.
Half an hour later I noticed a few homeless bums walking around like zombies.
Outside of the cast of colorful residents the area itself is very nice and has a coastal Spanish vibe. The cool thing is that some of the streets are closed off. Good for pedestrian traffic.
I had no choice but to give this an honest review. I did not feel completely safe and most stores and shops do not open early. Such a shame, because this location has lots of potential to be amazing.
