These incidents happened a little over a year ago, so they might not apply if the management has chanced. The servers here are generally nice, but I encountered a manager who was a real piece of work.
One of my friends and I had a craving for ramen. I wanted to go to Nikka Ramen, but he didn't want to drive "that far" and we ended up here. That was a huge mistake, as it took 10 minutes just for us to get served water, and another 15 for a server to take our order.
Now, I could let that incident slide, but it's the following incident that compelled me to write this review. I was delivering food for DoorDash at the time, and was picking up a SB Craft Ramen order. It wasn't my first, so I knew good places to legally park while still being able to quickly get to the restaurant.
As always, the employees were friendly, but this time I was immediately confronted by a manager who asked me "What time did you get here?" The employee tried to defend me saying, "He just got here?" but the manager talked over him pressing me, "How long is it going to take you to deliver this?" I gave him an honest answer based on the mileage, but he just smirked and said "Okay."
I should have replied with an "it gets there when it gets there", because I'm under no obligation to risk my safety or the safety of others to some jacka** who doesn't even pay my car insurance. Normally I'd let stuff like this slide, but if you're going to criticize my speed, it's only fair game for me to...
Read moreWent with my fiance and best friend. We were seated quickly by very friendly severs and brought our ordered drinks within the first 10 minutes. The menu is pretty decently sized, though at first glance it may appear a wee small. However, it contains copious choices for add-ons such as extra broth, extra meats, boiled egg, vegetables and so on. Not to mention a fair amount of sides to choose from. The prices were fairly reasonable, and I gotta say the food was incredible. I happened to order the pork shoulder ramen with a side of chicken, extra noodles and an order of takoyaki. The broth holds a very rich, smooth flavor with heaping helpings of flavorful meats (they definitely do not skimp you on the pork or chicken) and deliciously tender noodles that fill you a lot faster than you'd expect. I ended up needing 2 containers to take home my leftovers. This was my first time trying takoyaki as well and I loved it so much! It was so savory-sweet and the octopus was well diced to where it wasn't chunky or overly-chewy, while they made sure to be generous with the sauce. As previously said, the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and the servers were all polite, attentive, and my water cup never reached the bottom before being refilled. Overall it was a memorably wonderful experience and I will definitely be going...
Read moreWe have been coming here for over 3 years! And the time is really unbelievable the way my family was treated today! I guess if you are white you get priority. We waited 10 minutes to get a table, but there was a group of good looking gentlemen and the hostess decided to sit them before us, and when we asked how much longer she didn't like it, it is so unprofessional, after we sat down it took 10 minutes just to get water 10 more minutes to order, 20 minutes after we only got 2 out of 4 plates, we waited 10 more minutes to asked, no one came in to asked if we were ok or check if we got food, my husband went to the fron and asked and noticed that the party of 5 who was sat before us was finishing their meal! We feel discriminated, they told my husband that they will rush the other 2 plates, which they didn't, 4 tables got their ramen that were sitted after us! I guess the bottom line is that if you are good looking and white this is the place for you, if you look Hispanic, don't bother to come here, we been going to this place at least 2 times a month, I guess the owner has hired a new management to take his restaurant to the white level, we walked out with out eating with my kids upset because we couldn't...
