The Benton Apartments — Local services in Santa Clara

I moved to the Benton several weeks ago to be closer to my office. From the moment that I stepped in for the tour with Carolina, the leasing staff were incredibly friendly. All of the maintenance requests I have made were handled swiftly and with extreme care. The apartment itself (2B floor plan) is very spacious, and I actually was surprised by how high the ceilings are. I’m over 6 feet tall and the floor to ceiling cabinets in the kitchen almost exceed my reach. The automatic lights in the closet/bathrooms are super useful for waking up at night. Coming from carpeted rooms, the wood floors are much easier to clean and I don’t hear any noise from the airport or from footsteps on neighbor’s floors. I love the amenities, especially the rooftop. It’s a view like nothing else in the area and the gym equipment is well-maintained. I love the blackout curtains in the bedrooms, so I can block out the outside at night and when I want to sleep. My only complaint is that parking is one floor above the unit (due to shopping and guest parking below) but the elevator is close by and it’s never taken more than 30 seconds to arrive when I call it. The safety of the building is one huge selling point for me; for a person to access my apartment or any of the others I’ve seen, they need to get into the elevator, activate the floor, and then get in from the garage before they’re inside the building. The police station is nearby as well. College students that I’ve met have been perfectly respectful and I don’t have any examples of an instance where a student or any other resident for that matter has been anything but respectful. I’ve so far dealt with Kendall, Virginia, and Ellaina as well, and each member of the staff has been delightful to speak with. I go to the leasing office every morning for a coffee and they are always attentive to my current experience at the Benton. If it’s within your price range, I would definitely recommend at least touring the space and letting it speak for itself.

Edit: I’ve lived at the Benton for almost half a year now and I can say confidently that moving here was a great decision. The leasing staff are very conscientious and work hard to make living here an ideal experience. I love the events that they host, and have enjoyed everything from a cocktail class to an Easter egg scavenger hunt, with events happening on at least a monthly basis. More than that, I am particularly happy at the amount of care with which concerns are handled. I brought up that my windows were dirty after the rain and while window washers generally come around infrequently, when windows on another unit were being cleaned they sent me an email to offer the service to me as well. The apartment building and amenities are beautiful, but time and time again they’ve proven that the staff, leasing, maintenance, and beyond, bring the heart to the Benton. Big thanks to them...

Moving from MA to CA during the pandemic early 2022, we did not have the chance to visit the place physically before making the decision. Our home search was made virtually. Given that condition, from the beginning The Benton seemed to be a very good choice among many other options we had the chance to review. Venessa, Alex and everyone at The Benton are always very helpful, giving us all the information we need and they are super friendly, kind which help our journey easier. Alex is a super nice positive person who helped us to find our first home in California and she would always do extra miles for you. She is the best agent that we have met so far. The apartment is in the great location with beautiful mountain view. It is very easy to access to all places, groceries, stores, …. Easy for your daily life. It is just brand new with a lot of amenities on top of the building such as swimming pool, spa, gym, grill area, many cozy places for you to work, read books or just relax watching the sunrise or sunset to recharge after a busy day. The building is always clean, well organized and has great sense of security. All the rooms are well designed and give you great privacy. We are very satisfied and made the right decision to rent at the Benton. Thank you Vanessa, Alex and all the team members for their daily work to keep The Benton a welcoming and nice place.

Updated: April 6 2022: Living in the Benton is a truly great experience. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The maintenance service is wonderful. We had the chance to work with all staff in the maintenance team. They are awesome. They always respond quickly to your request and even provide extra help whenever possible. I am super happy with the help from Francisco, Nicolas and Gilberto. I feel very lucky to have found The Benton and call it our home. Thank you again The Benton team (leasing office, maintenance team, cleaners …) everyone is making our living easier everyday with your work.

Updated: July 7, 2025: We have been staying in The Benton for more than 3 years and we are still very happy living here. It is a quiet, clean, beautiful, convenient and safe place to live. I want to shout out for Samson and Veronica who are awesome individuals in the maintenance service team. They are always very helpful, professional yet friendly. Whenever I need some help to fix things inside my home, they would show up quickly and have it fixed. I love their positivity and friendly approach. Overall, the Benton is a beautiful community and can be a great place to live. It just depends on your unit location and who is living above you. There are a few reviews on here that are right about hearing every single noise your upstair neighbors make. I’m not sure if the ceilings are just poorly built or really thin but it’s bearable with some, depending on who is above you. If you’re unfortunate like me, you could end up with neighbors who will make it unbearable for you to enjoy your home. I’ve been living here for 8 months now and it’s unfortunately one of the worst experiences I’ve had with an upstairs neighbor. I haven’t been able to enjoy the peace and quiet of a home like you should be able to, especially living in a really nice place like this property. That is the only con for me and it makes it really hard to want to stay long term. The staff here are amazing though…Kendall and Virginia are sweet hearts. They did try their best to help mediate the issues I’m having but the option wasn’t feasbile and I know they can only do so much; especially if you are dealing with neighbors who are just plain inconsiderate. Nick is also wonderful…He is always waving and saying hello to neighbors and it’s just a welcoming feeling when the staffs are always smiling and happy around their neighbors. Maintenance crew are always on top of things as well - I appreciate the hard work they put into always keeping the community clean and beautiful. The property is just aesthetically pleasing all around, it was beautifully designed and amenities are great. The staff and community gets a 4 star but overall, my personal experience living here is a 3.5. The overall enjoyment of a home and my space is really important to me and I just don’t get that here. I actually have put off on writing a review in hopes that the nuisances and extreme noise I’ve been dealing with will lessen but it hasn’t changed one bit since I’ve first complained about the issue. I really wanted to give this place a 5 star since I was so excited to move here but having to deal with loud neighbors is really bothersome and can definitely ruin someone’s living experience. No matter how beautiful an apartment is, it’s just not worth it if floors aren’t built with good sound protection or if neighbors are just extremely loud all the time.
