We recently held a funeral lunch reception at Home Eat in Santa Clara, and I want to express our sincere thanks to the team for helping us create a smooth, respectful, and comforting gathering for our family and friends. The food — which is consistently praised by locals — lived up to its reputation. Everything was delicious and fresh, and the buffet setup was handled with care and efficiency. But what really stood out was how the space was prepared and how easy they made things for us during what could have been a very stressful time. The reception area was set up beautifully, and the tech to run our photo slideshow was straightforward and worked without a hitch — a huge relief. We arrived early to set up, and the staff jumped in right away to assist us. Special thanks to Aaron, who was clearly experienced, responsive, and on top of every detail. Aaron’s leadership ensured everything moved along quickly and smoothly — from taking drink orders to coordinating the buffet service. We’re grateful for their support and hospitality during a meaningful event for the family. If you're looking for a venue with good food, a well-managed space, and staff who truly show up, Home Eat is a...
Read moreI was excited about trying this new restaurant because it had such good reviews and is so near to my home. When we arrived it at the restaurant we realized it was the old Italian restaurant, which wasn't very good, with a fresh coat of paint.
We ordered: 1 81. Salt Pepper Chicken Wings 椒盐鸡翅 $16.75 1 125. Soybean Seedling with Garlic Sauce 蒜炒大豆苗 $16.75 1 162. Classic Beef Ramen Soup 兰州牛肉面 $11.75 1 110. Salt Pepper Fish Fillet with Onion & Pepper 椒盐鱼片 $16.75 1 102. String Beans & Eggplant with Soy Sauce 豆角焖茄子 $13.75 1 154. Combination Fried Rice 什锦炒饭
Some of the dishes were served very quickly though all the portions, except the ramen soup, were on the small side. There was a prevalence of five spice in many of the dishes which unfortunately for us is not a good thing. The chicken wings were okay, the soybean seedlings were a little undercooked for our taste, the fish fillet was a bit fishy tasting, the eggplant was good but the string beans not so much and the combination fried rice was just okay and a bit more like Korean fried rice. The ramen soup I think was the best of all the dishes.
I am not sure if we will go again which is too bad since...
Read moreI went here for the first time based on the great reviews and wasn't disappointed. The restaurant is immaculate, everyone was so friendly. I was dining alone and had never been to a restaurant like this and wasn't quite sure what to do. I ordered the fried chicken wings and the fashion wok.
OMG the wings were incredible. Shatteringly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Coated in a sticky-sweet-slightly spicy glaze. By far the best wings I've ever had. I took home the leftovers and ate them hours later and they STILL taste crispy and delicious.
The fashion wok was excellent, it comes out over a burner to keep it warm. There is a bar with all sorts of sauces that you add to the broth. The waitress explained this and brought me an assortment to try. It was really good and you can really customize the flavor. It was like digging through a treasure chest, I kept finding new delicious things.
The restaurant was cleaned continuously, all of the staff was friendly and seemed genuinely proud to be there. The food was excellent, fresh, and the price was great. I spent $40 and it was enough food for 2+ people (and I got a beer). I cannot...
