Okay I don't know what the previous user was talking about, but it's pretty easy to confuse "Unlimited" with "Revised" so I'll give the owners the benefit of the doubt.
Anyway, I really love this place as far as Magic goes. The owners are pretty laid back, you'll get an amazing deal on boxes if you pre-order, and you can dump your old rares here--plus they carry commons and uncommons, which is nice before a tournament, it's in a convenient location, and they'll give you the lowdown on other shops and refer you elsewhere if they don't offer something. They say they're "not the cheapest" when they sell cards but it's bull because you can save a LOT of money buying at Paper Heros as opposed to buying online and paying shipping costs. They use Medium TCGPlayer price (which is what's accepted amongst anyone in the area if you try to trade) and it always feels like a fair shake, especially last minute.
My only possible gripe is that the people there don't care to hold Standard tournaments, but otherwise I LOVE...
Read moreDidn't write the review about this just until now. But the one and only instance that I had with this place was on the phone to ask If I was able to somehow pre-order or make an account with the store and subscribe to the Fortnite/Marvel Zero War comic series. The guy on the phone decided to smarmily tell me that they didn't do pre-orders and that when the last Fortnite/Batman collab came out, they had a line around the building so good luck trying to get even one issue of that series...
Well, as a matter of fact, I did. I got all 5 issues at another comic shop I contacted in the same day, no thanks to this store or that joke of an employee and his better than thou attitude.
If this is how the culture is run at that store, I will not be contributing as a patron, and additionally I will suggest other shops to my peers instead of this one due to the treatment...
Read moreOwners son is a toolbag! He was rude, misinformed and no matter what question I asked, it was like I was bothering him. Also I new the answer to every question, but wanted to see how fair the people here were. I was surprised that no matter what I asked, it was either a "dumb" question, or the comics I was inquiring about were worthless. He actually told me one particular book I asked about was, and I quote, "worth nothing since it's not in the price guide", then I looked up and his father had a copy of that exact book rated and displayed on the top shelf at $250.00. Bottom line, evidently if your comics are worth less than $250.00, they are worthless. The way my 10 yr old son and I were treated was so offensive, we will never return. I suggest you do the same, unless you are going to play a game such as DandD then...
