Right to beach, shopping, eating, drinking! And it's a smoooth ride! McNeil, a Metro Ambassador at this station was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about Metro system routes, how to pay via Tap, cash other, as well as warm, charming and helpful with local insights & landmarks. She's an extremely valuable representative for Metro!

Surrounding is very dirty and there are strange people next to the ticket vending machines. The machine itself did not work properly and it took 9$ without giving me the ticket. The metro is full of homeless people and overall it’s not so clean.

Everything and then some! All I have to do is pose my question to my Google assistant and the information directly pops up on my phone...it's all in the way of how I ask.

3 points for a line that goes from the beach to downtown. Points of Improvement: Mistake to build street grade at Barrington and Olympic. This backs up traffic past Pico and Barrington and in the opposite direction nearly every time the train passes because the lights are so close together. Who did this traffic study?

Olympic and Bundy - Major lack of day parking at station in close proximity to trains. All of the decent parking is monthly and close to the station entrance across busy Bundy.

Why would anyone commute this close and be a monthly user? There are HUNDREDS of monthly spots and not nearly enough day spots. You can't pay for day parking at a meter at this location you have to call in and pay via lot number which is not easy to spot in BFE.

The Downtown Santa Monica stop has everyone entering and exiting on the same side. This is terribly inefficient when there is another side to the platform that's already been completed. It's new...so maybe these points will...

Awsome metro station here in Santa Monica California , it's easy walk to the Santa Monica pier and beach , hotels and restaurants around here and nearby bus transportation to Vince Beach ⛱️ , lots of metro staff around if anyone needs em at this station , its a outside station 🚉 , definitely gonna use this station on future trips 😉❤️🏖 as a Canadian tourist am very thankful for LA metro and the stations are like almost everywhere in LA , it's saves me alot of money in getting around LA and I have fun on the metro trains and I like the hood vibe in los Angeles and the merto trains run till late at night , merto staff are everywhere here at Santa Monica station . It's very busy here ❤️this is one of my favorite design layouts for a metro station here with the artwork etc . Its one of the busiest metro stations...

plays church organ "What happens if the engine stops? We all freeze and die! But will it stop, oh will it stop! No! No! Can you tell us why?

The engine is sacred! Yes! The engine lasts forever! Rumble, rumble, rattle, rattle! Who is the reason why?

WIIIILLLLFFFFFRRREEED, YAH! WILFRED, WILFRED, HIP HOORAY! WILFRED, WILFRED! YAAAH!"

But in all seriousness, this train does a halfway decent job of barely getting you to Santa Monica Beach and Pier. And to 3rd Street Promenade.

Whoever actually designed these metro train lines didn't know what they were doing, because they seldom reach their intended destinations without the passengers being forced to disembark and walk multiple city blocks in order to get to where they need to. It is a pain in the ass, but it beats the hell out of walking AND out of...
