Vibey place with a cute pink interior. Service was fine but could have been faster to notice when we were ready to order/pay. One man was walking around near the end of the evening (manager? owner?) and was extremely personable - he gave excellent service! Our drinks were delightful and came beautifully decorated with herbs and flowers. The tajin rim on my “deeply rooted issues” was delightful and really brought the drink together. All tacos were great. Some, like the bahn mi, were difficult to eat due to the amount of toppings. But that’s a problem I like to have :) Our standouts were the fried tacos - they came out incredibly crisp. They are pretty pricy, but the street tacos are a great deal if you want one. I thought the red velvet churros were lacking given the price-point and otherwise quality of this restaurant. Texture was great, but I didn’t really get a red velvet flavor. I also think the topping would have been nicer had it been whipped a bit more. I saw multiple things on the menu I’d like to try next time.

This place was just okay. It was actually a little pricey in the tacos were nothing out of this world. We had the carnet Asada, chicken, and pastrami tacos. We took the stuff to go but the atmosphere seemed okay for drinks especially of your out late. Overall I would give this place a 7/10. The servers were nice but it did take a wild to have the order finished. Personally, and this is just my own opinion, I like my tacos as authentic as possible. When we tried to make fusion tacos, or something that doesn't necessarily seem like what was originally intended it is easy to miss the mark. Don't get me wrong, some things were great in a taco. Especially Korean food. But not everything makes the grade. The best tacos we had in California were street tacos. We tried three different places and one was better than the other. Since the money buys street taco! The restaurant is easy to get to if you are in a wheelchair however I must confess we did not check the bathrooms for accessibility.

Super CUTE spot with a great ambiance in Santa Monica, California margarita flight is a must the flavors and presentation are great. We had great services as soon as we walked in, no need for reservations just make sure to find parking with a meter outside I would add enough for about 2-3 hours. The food was very tasteful starting with chips/salsa complementary with infused cucumber mint water. I wanted street tacos and tried the Rotisserie Chicken Street Taco and the Chipotle Tomatillo Chicken is very good! I was disappointed they didn’t have Carne Asada for the street tacos I know it’s street tacos but if you wanted tacos and you only get one no sides and the same for the burrito I was hoping more for rice and beans I’m so used to that being a combo at places but it was okay. My boyfriend had the pastrami burrito which was a wow never had that before he enjoyed it. Kids had carne Asada nachos and there was plenty to share.

I got my food delivered so while the atmosphere at my home was fabulous. I am not at liberty to rate the atmosphere of the establishment, although I will say you can't make food this good and have a wonky atmosphere.. that said... I finally found the best most flavorful Mexican Food in Los Angeles! Tu Madre! And what's crazy is so far it's only been through delivery! I order directly from their website and when the food arrives the bag is stapled shut tamper resistant- that's magic for me because I'm persnickity. And the food is hot. And presentation is so mindful and Demure. Which is really cool because some restaurants just dump their food in a box and ship it off to sea. Tu Madre presentation feels like your mom packed your lunch to show off to other kids how much she loves you... regardless of all THAT the food was soooooo good. I had it two nights in a row ... so far. The potato taquitos! Flawless. Delicious!!! The grilled fish tacos, yummmmmy!! The nachos, soooo flavorful and comforting and the chips in the nachos must be fresh homemade because they're light crispy and hold the flavor of the queso and Pico and all the other toppings. I also got a burrito that lasted two days. So hefty and flavorful. So much precision goes into the tortilla wrapping so everything is right where it's supposed to be for the first bite... i got the braised beef burrito... le swoon. So nice had to have twice. Because i couldn't finish it. I wrapped it up put it in the fridge and in the oven the next evening for dinner. I don't recommend microwaving the food. Pop it in the oven for 10/15 minutes on 250 and everything tastes fresh and crisp again! Anyway that's my rambling rave! Enjoy! (I...

Just got back from lunch with my two partners. We were seated right away, but then ignored. No one brought us water or chips/salsa or silverware/napkins. It was hard to get anyone's attention. There were a lot of people working, but mostly standing around at the counter waiting for food to come up and not looking at the customers. We finally got someone's attention to order. We ordered guacamole for our chips/salsa. One of us ordered two tacos, one of us ordered a fish bowl with 50/50 rice/kale and one of us ordered a chicken bowl with 50/50 rice/kale. After at least 5 minutes, we still had no water, no silverware/napkins and no chips/salsa. Again we struggled to get anyone's attention. They finally brought the chips/salsa and water, but no silverware/napkins. Then, the two tacos arrived and the waiter left without bringing silverware/napkings. After another struggle to get someone's attention, we got the silverware/napkins. The guacamole finally showed up but only after the chips/salsa were gone. We waited another 20 minutes for the two bowls, and they were not as ordered because neither was rice/kale 50/50. No one bothered to check in on us after the food was served. No one even looked at us to see if we needed something. The staff has no idea that they are there to service the customers. It was even hard to get their attention to get the bill. ...

We traveled from Utah to revisit one of our favorite restaurants, but this time the experience was disappointing. The service was poor and rude from the start. When we told our server we’d be washing our hands and asked him to hold the table, he responded disrespectfully.

We also inquired about borrowing a phone charger since we had a flight soon. They didn’t have any, so two of us went to buy one. While we were gone, the server brought our food and margarita flight, making us miss the moment. We did communicated with the server to hold on drinks and food order until we were completed.

When we returned, we asked if we could charge our phones, but the server brusquely reminded us that charging wasn’t allowed. If he had explained that earlier, we wouldn’t have bought a charger. We then requested the wooden board with candles for our friends to see the experience, but he refused, saying he’d already done us a favor with the charger.

Frustrated, we just wanted to finish our meal and leave. The food was good, but the poor service overshadowed everything. We left feeling let down and no longer consider this restaurant one of our favorites and definitely not longer worth...
